About

Test Prep on the Fly pairs an adaptive engine with the original question banks it needs, for five admissions exams: the SAT, ACT, ISEE Upper Level, SSAT Upper Level and SHSAT. Its 30,706 questions are each written to one exam's format, with a worked explanation, rated for difficulty against that exam's real papers and checked by an independent solve. A short diagnostic places you on your exam's own scale, section by section. Then every practice set is drawn just past what you can already do, weighted toward the topics your exam asks most, so a strong student and a struggling one each get the right next question. You study one exam at a time. Pick yours and the app takes on its sections, clocks, question types and score scale. Switch any time from the top bar or Settings; each exam keeps its own progress, and one sign-in covers all five. SAT 4,523 questions for the digital SAT: 2,330 in Reading and Writing, each on its own short text, and 2,193 in Math, 454 of them answered by typing. The practice test routes you like the real one, Module 1 choosing an easier or a harder Module 2, and scores each section 200–800 for a 400–1600 total. ACT 6,044 questions, including Science on 293 passages of data, experiments and conflicting viewpoints, and English on 185 passages with underlined portions. Science is optional, as on the enhanced ACT, and one switch takes it out. Scores read 1–36, the composite worked the ACT's way. ISEE UPPER LEVEL 6,693 questions in the ISEE's own types, quantitative comparisons, sentence completion and one-word synonyms, plus Reading and Mathematics Achievement. Each of the four sections reads as a 1–9 stanine, with no overall score, as on the ISEE. SSAT UPPER LEVEL 6,155 questions, 857 of them verbal analogies, the SSAT's own question type. The practice test keeps the real paper's order and clocks, 150 questions with a quarter point off each wrong answer, scored on its 1–99 percentile scale. SHSAT 7,291 questions for New York City's specialized high schools exam, in the fall 2026 format: Revising/Editing in both of the test's shapes, Mathematics with 216 grid-ins, and Reading. ELA and Math section scores add up to a composite, and the practice test is 100 questions on one 180-minute clock. A LESSON AFTER A MISS When a set ends, a question you got wrong offers a short lesson on its idea: worked examples, then five drills. CHALLENGE PAPERS Every exam has a fixed paper harder than the real one, in its own section shape, scored raw so it never moves your score or practice level. TESTS, WORKSHEETS, REPORTS Practice tests run at 1.5x or 2x time for an accommodation, any set prints as a worksheet at your level, and progress reports share as a PDF. WORKS OFFLINE Every question, passage, figure and explanation is in the app; nothing streams. FOR PARENTS The app is fully usable with no account — sign-in (Google or Apple) exists only to back progress up and sync it across devices. No ads, no in-app purchases, no tracking.
