Can’t set up account
Tried to use this app for our church downloaded it opened it and there is no place to create an account. All it wants me to do is login and I have no way to login, but I haven’t created an account.

This app is smooth! It’s simple, functional, non-glitchy and reliable! I’m a new user but so far I’m well pleased!
Spinning Wheel Never Goes Away
The iOS app is worthless. I launch the app and the spinning wheel just sits there indefinitely and the app NEVER opens. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the app and there is no change.
The app hangs on initial loading screen
Our staff has a variety of phones and the app hangs at the loading screen, perpetually loading.
It may be the latest update but as of right now the app is useless and forces us to use the browser version either via desktop or mobile.

Won’t Even Open
Unfortunately I can’t even get the app to open on my iPhone. I just get the initial screen with a spinning wheel, and I give up after a full two minutes.
Lack big features
The messaging system works well, but the lack of connection cards and QR code for guest to scan is disappointing.
The web version is better
Unfortunately this is one of those services where 20 to 30% of the functionality is available in the mobile app and the best experience is on the website. Development seems really slow. Lots of focus on acquisition and integration with other church management software, but little development on the mobile app. No ability to create proper pages and link them to your message, instead you need to spend multiple credits if you want to send out a picture or a long text. Their feedback system is full of development requests, but again, slow to add new features.

Latest Update is Disappointing
The platform of Text In Church is great. But the latest update of the mobile app is very disappointing and frustrating. One of our staff members cannot get back into the platform since the “two factor authentication” process because the confirmation texts never arrive at his phone. So it’s completely useless for him (our lead pastor). The update also took away some of the basic messaging features, like a swipe to archive messages or mark as unread, making it less intuitive for the user. The character count is also tighter in the mobile app than the web browser. Which means to get the most use out of the platform, I now have to be at my desktop… to text… not on my phone. Something in the interface now between the app and my phone (iPhone) will not clear the notifications from the app’s icon. It takes refreshing the app about 4 times before the notification will update properly on the screen of the phone. Again, the principle of the platform and what it provides is good. The update though has been rough.

I use this tool almost every day. I love it. And I especially appreciate having phone in church. This has really been a great tool.
Issues With iPhones
If you are trying to use this app with an iPhone be aware that it will log you off on a regular basis. It doesn’t matter if you last logged in yesterday or last month, there is a good chance that you will have to login again. If you’re like me, and forget what your password was, you will have to go through the contortions of creating a new password.

This is a great system to improve church communication.
Losing $600 per year for nothing
I got this app and it was easy to sign up and sign in. The app never works right it has a whole bunch of glitches. I paid the 600+ dollars for the year. However, whenever I try to cancel the app it’s almost impossible and there’s nobody, available to help me get my money back. There is no way to cancel it unless you’re really tech savvy. It’s easy to use unless you’re trying to get your cancellation.

Not as good as the website
Very helpful and powerful ministry tool. But for some reason, there are character limits on the app that don’t appear on the web browser.
Not intuitive. Doesn’t save drafts.
Difficult to use and many steps to send messages to groups or individuals. Seems like there are some updates needed.
