Yes, the pronunciation is not perfect, but the readers voices have enough naturalness that I don’t mind. And I really like the read along window. But here’s the thing - on a full size book - ePub PDF format - I have no way to bookmark and come back later. I have to screenshot as a reminder of where I was, and it’s still hard to zero in once I try to resume again.

Almost perfect

Almost perfect! The text-to-speech quality is excellent overall. My only issue is that there is always a slightly too long pause at the end of each sentence, and unfortunately there’s no way to adjust this manually. This makes the speech flow sound a bit choppy and less natural than it could be.

Apart from that, the app is basically perfect. If the sentence pauses could be customized or shortened, it would easily be a 5-star app.

No functional audio

Reviews enticed me in as I’m trying to listen to some scrap writes for various books but alas the audio doesn’t even remotely work, I hope it’s just A temporary issue.

I’ve been trying to find a free text to speech app or website for a long time. Almost all the ones I used before needs purchase, and this one is all free, and the voices are so good and natural too!

Very good app, perfect for what I need.
Potrzebowalem jej do sluchania dokumentow pdf w jezyku polskim. Lektor brzmi troche sztucznie, cyfry czyta w innym jezyku ale jak na darmowa splijacje ta jest naprawde bardzo dobra.

Voice

You should let people use the voice on iPhones, specifically the Ava voice

Non responsive

App works as long as you only want it to read and not back up or pause. Buttons are non responsive for these and then suddenly it will jump from 20% read to 68% read and will not let you back up.

I have an iPhone and iPhone users have to pay for most everything that an Android phone user gets for free. Thanks TXT Reader!!!

This app constantly crashes

No matter what I type to speak, the app crashes as soon as I press play. Not a reliable app, and really disappointing.

Weird bug

Downloaded the app on my MAC somehow the app is turned left 90° degrees. Can’t turn it normal please fix. Love pdf gear that’s how I found this. The View option doesn’t work to change it from Landscape to Portrait

It was great, but now crushes

The app is great; however it crushes. I gave 5 stars before in advance but how I decreased it to only one and would give zero because it crushes all the time.

It started to read PDFs better, reading sentences in full, but after reading several sentences the application crashes. This has never happened before the last update. Now this single application makes the iPhone freeze so that it's impossible to do anything. It crushes whatever text you try to read: PDF or txt, small or big — doesn't matter. I reached the developers but it seems they just blamed my iPhone saying it doesn't have enough free space, which isn't the case, because I found several other apps which doesn't do anything I wrote here, and are much better being free as well.

Also the app stuffs an iPhone with wired tiny pieces of m4a files in many folders and doesn't clean them up.

After all, I had to just delete the app and update my review so others could be aware of. I will not get it back.

Falta de suporte para outros idiomas

Achei um ótimo app. Leve, funcional e de fato oferece tudo o que promete. Mas o que deixa a desejar é a falta de suporte para a fala em português Brasil. Por vários momentos, o aprendizado se compromete por conta dos sotaques da outra língua e acabo perdendo um pouco do foco

This app is free. It works. I’m thankful to the creators. That said it is not on par with commercial text to speech apps like Speechify.
