Unbelievably complex
What a pathetic app. Over complex just to buy a ticket. I understand the desire to milk customers for every bit of private information they might have in order to make more money of of them but whoever designed this app has lost sight of what the customer interface should look like.
Unnecessarily difficult to use
To be able to download tickets from the app you have to enter ‘basic details’ which includes your country. In all other apps I have ever used this would be ‘UK’ or ‘Great Britain’ but apparently it is England in this app which also does not appear in the list of alternatives when you type in E or En, you have to type it in full! Also it asks for other information including your date of birth which is just intrusive. The R&A staff did respond quickly but didn’t actually address the issue, but the staff at the golf club fixed it straight away!
