Thoughtful news reporting that finds the good going on while not ignoring the bad that needs knowing.
I’ve been reading the Monitor for most of my adult life. It’s the most balanced and informative news source around and I’m delighted to now have a handy app on my phone for listening or reading wherever I am. Powerful stories that don’t pull any punches, but without the sensationalism that so many media are promoting. The Monitor reporters always leave me with a sense of hope that truth will be the victor!

Clean format, clean content. This is a big upgrade from getting news from social media platforms, no overwhelm of doom. Easy access to podcasts and more. A great way to get the latest news.
This app is easy to navigate. Nice clean format, a big upgrade from getting news from social media platforms. This makes access to related podcasts more accessible too.
Super glad to see this app launch. The Monitor strives for truth in all ways. It’s my go-to when I need clarity and help to understand challenging topics in the world.
This app is a great news source. It’s easy to navigate, and has up-to-date news coverage that includes US and international news. The reporting strives to be unbiased, offering a variety of perspectives on news topics. The only issue I have is that there’s no “back” button; to exit an article, you have to press “home,” which takes you back to the list of articles, at the article you exited from — so at least you’re where you left the list, but it’s a bit counterintuitive.

My only problem with the app is I wish it wouldn’t log you out. It’s not like anyone else uses my phone. I’m sure they’ll fix this soon though.
This app has exactly what I look for. It’s full of features, and I like the fact that it is searchable by regions and you can follow writers. The coverage is unbiased in depth and thoughtful. One of the best features is the text is large and very easily readable.
Works well and still one of the best newspapers around
Grateful for the new CSMonitor app. It’s easy to use, puts the top stories I’m interested in right at my fingertips and helps fulfill its mission to stay abreast of the times. Thank you!
So refreshing to get the news with a sense of hope and progress.
I’m very grateful to have a news source that does not lean left or right but only towards the truth.
So grateful to be able to access The Christian Science Monitor in this way — 5 stars!
I have been LOVING the Monitor app! I am not really a news reader, so I didn't think that the Monitor App would impact me that much. But now with the app, I find myself reading the Monitor multiple times a day! Truly - morning, noon and night. Something about the user experience on the app makes it so approachable and easy to read. The app has a very calming feeling that isn't overwhelming. It presents just the right amount of information and stories that you feel like you can actually keep up with it. Plus, I love how you can follow topics or you favorite journalists. Highly recommend!!

Great to see another independent news organization. We need more of them. This one has a long history. We need to see these folks on YouTube and as a guest on independent news podcasts.
The kinds of reader functionality that I've been wanting to see for a while like for example, searching by region, following a particular writer, book marking an article for later recall it's all there and plus more... highly recommend recommended
Reading without distractions, awesome dark mode, and nourishing informative content.
Have read the Monitor for many years. I like their approach to the news and the different perspectives that they use as lenses to understand what’s going on in the world.
I am so impressed with how the content in this app is always so unbiased and just plain newsworthy, rather than all the sensationalism that most news organizations and newspapers throw at the public. Thank you Christian Science Monitor for finding good in our world.
I love the Monitor’s new app! It feels so clean and purpose driven… the purpose being to deliver the news without distraction or bias. Bravo!
