Finally, a space that gets it right
As someone who’s spent years building professional and faith-based community spaces in Charlotte, this app fills a real gap. Too often you have to choose between spaces that are genuinely professional (LinkedIn) and spaces that honor your deen — The Companions doesn’t make you pick.
Using real names and verified skills changes the whole tone of the interactions. It feels less like networking and more like ummah-building — people show up with confidence, not anonymity, and that accountability makes every connection feel more sincere. I’ve had conversations here I wouldn’t have had on LinkedIn or a generic Muslim Facebook group.
If you’re trying to grow professionally while staying rooted in your values, this app makes that feel natural instead of like a tradeoff. Excited to see this community grow.
