Great app but...
It's a nifty little app. Wish I could customize the consequences and rewards though cause it really limits it.
Great app otherwise.
Great app otherwise.
Chores should not be consequence.
What a horrible thing to teach your child. The very tasks they need to complete to be functioning adults in society you are teaching as punishment. How to create lazy slobs 101.
Needs changes
The concept is a great one however it really needs the ability to customize with your own rewards and consequences! My children are to young to do any of things listed and the ones they aren't I expect them to do anyway such as picking up their toys!!!!
Love
I started a consequence jar at home for my kids and was so excited when I found this app. Only thing is I wish there were options for different ages and also a place to enter your own.
Love It, but...
I absolutely love this app! Id give it a 4.5. But I wish there were more options to shuffle through! Maybe an option to also add our own consequences?! Then I would give it five full stars!
I think is good !
The real consequence here is the loosing of their "free" time . it's not doing the chore that is bad...is having to do it when they really didn't have to. Now ,no all chores apply to everyone but having them preset makes them guilt free for the parents :)
Love it!
I absolutely love the consequence jar as well as the reward jar. However, as said in previous reviews, it would be so much better if it could be customized. It would be very hard to have the same expectations from a 4 year old as you would a 10 year old. Can't wait for the custom upgrade!!
Help!!!!!
Please make this app customizable!!!!! I agree with the others. Chores aren't punishments. We need to be able to create our own "good" and "bad" jars. Not everything applies to everyone's family equally.
Make a option to edit please!
My daughter is five and the consequence jar has tasks she is unable to perform. Also I don't want her to be punished by doing chores... Chores are good, not bad. If use chores as a punishment it will teach her to think chores are bad and she will grow up resenting chores. I'd rather reward her for doing a chore. Instead it would be nice to edit the consequences i.e. taking away tv or time out, or no sweets, go to bed early etc...

THINK before you download....
A chore which is something that teaches a child responsibility, teamwork in a family, and basic life skills are used here as a "CONSEQUENCE" to bad behavior. Really? And then when the child grows up and won't keep their room clean or assist in washing dishes or cleaning up at a friend's house after they had dinner there .... you'd be surprised why????
To be effective a consequence has to have thought behind it that is specific to a child's currency. What does a child learn if they lie or hit someone .... that they might have to water the plants or do the dishes?

A Great Start
A great idea, simple execution... Just need the ability to create your own treats and chores! I'd certainly pay $0.99 for customizability!
I can't use this
These are not consequences. These are punishments. Anyone who tells their child anything different is mistaken.
Could be worth money
I would be very willing to buy this app with the ability to write my own good and bad contents...please make it so...I am waiting anxiously to give you dough for it...at least $1.99!!!
Nothing is great without being able to personally customize
The concept is great, but for a parent with a younger child there aren't that many appropriate tasks. It would be GREAT if this app allowed you to add your own ideas without having to go to the creator. In this way the jar could even be used for fun spontaneous activities as well.
