About

The critics' picks — The New York Times, Michelin, James Beard, Eater, your city's paper — in one place. Mark a restaurant once and it's marked on every list it appears on. See what's near you, where the critics agree, and how far you've gotten through the lists you care about. We don't write the lists — the critics do. Every place links straight back to the original article. WHAT YOU CAN DO • The critics' lists, together — NYT, Michelin, James Beard, Eater, the SF Chronicle, the LA Times, and more. • Mark once, tracked everywhere — "Been" and "Want to go" live on the restaurant, so they follow it across every list it's on. • Critics' Consensus — instantly see the places the most critics agree on. • Near me — what's worth it right where you're standing. • Search everything at once — restaurants, lists, and cuisines in one search. • Your Year in Food — a shareable recap of where you've eaten. • Reserve a table — jump straight to booking on OpenTable or Resy. Free. No ads. We never sell your data. Everything works on your device; make an account only if you want to sync across your phone and laptop. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT The lists come from people who do this for a living, not a feed. We're not a publisher, so we can show you the critics' lists side by side — and we never reproduce a ranking or a review. We simply report that a place was featured, and link you straight back to the source. Restaurants are just the beginning.

What's New in The Critic List

1.0.4

Fixes restaurant photos, which had stopped loading — and they now repair themselves automatically, so they keep working between updates. New York lists and the New York page are organized by borough, then by neighborhood. Small spacing fix on the restaurant page.
