The Cult is a digital party game for 4 to 10 players where each person is secretly assigned a role belonging to either the village or the cult. The game involves players going on quests, with the village trying to complete them successfully and the cult attempting to sabotage them. The objective is to deduce who is on which team through gameplay and voting.
The village team wins by successfully completing at least three quests. The cult team wins if they manage to sabotage enough quests or if they successfully identify and vote out the seer role at the end of the game. Players in the village must always vote for quests to succeed, while cult members can choose their votes.
The primary roles are villagers and cult members. A special role is the seer, who belongs to the village and knows the identities of the cult members. The seer can use this knowledge to help the village, but the cult can win by correctly identifying the seer at the end of the game.
The application is free to download and play. However, it does offer in-app purchases, which may enhance the gameplay experience or provide additional content for players who choose to purchase them.
