About

Your promo inbox has 200 tracks in it. Maybe three are worth playing. The Cut gets you to those three. Swipe right to keep, swipe left to cut, and every decision syncs across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Connect an iCloud Drive folder, SoundCloud, Dropbox, an email inbox or your own Sendbox link, and start reviewing. Review Your Inbox, Fast Every new track lands in your Inbox. Rate it, jot a note, and once you decide it moves to Accepted or Rejected. Demo management without the manual filing. Sendbox Give producers one link to send you music. Share thecut.music/send/yourname and every submission lands in your Inbox with the artist, title and message filled in. Senders verify their email first, so you always know who sent what. Email Sources Get promos the moment they hit your inbox. Connect any email account over IMAP and The Cut pulls in audio attachments and SoundCloud links, ready to audition. SoundCloud Integration Stream tracks directly from your SoundCloud feed. Add or remove tracks from playlists without leaving the app. Dropbox Integration Review tracks stored in your Dropbox, cached locally for smooth playback. Move or delete files right from the app. Never Review the Same Track Twice When the same track arrives from more than one source, The Cut merges it into one entry, so you review it once. See What You Actually Get Through The Statistics dashboard shows how many tracks you reviewed, your accept rate, and which sources and labels send the keepers. Break it down by genre, BPM band, key and rating, look back over any week, month or year, and share a card of your numbers. Undo Any Cut Changed your mind? Deleted Tracks keeps everything you remove, so you can bring a track back with one tap. iPad and iPhone Duo On iPad and iPhone Duo's inner display, your track list and the player sit side by side. Apple Vision Pro The Cut runs natively on Apple Vision Pro, with your library and Now Playing in windows beside you. Apple Watch Companion Take your inbox on the go. Browse, filter, rate and review from your wrist, even without your iPhone, and play tracks offline through Bluetooth headphones. Smart Stack widgets and complications show your latest track. CarPlay Review from the car. Accept and Reject sit right on CarPlay's Now Playing screen: decide, and the next track starts. Filter Down to the Right Tracks Filter any list by source, label, genre, BPM, key, rating and date added, and stack filters to zero in on what you want. Rich Metadata at a Glance See title, artist, BPM, key, genre and artwork before you hit play, straight from ID3 and MP4 tags. No tags? On iOS 27, BPM and key are detected on your device. Automate Your Workflow Set actions that fire the moment you decide: move accepted tracks to a folder, delete rejected files, or add keepers to a SoundCloud playlist. Reminders Pick the days and times you like to review, and The Cut nudges you when tracks are waiting and stays quiet when they aren't. A Proper Audio Player Full playback controls, a waveform you can scrub to jump straight to the drop, AirPlay, shuffle, repeat and lock screen controls. Skip Intro on Auto lands where each track kicks in. On iPad, review from the keyboard too. The Cut Pro Free plays one source. Pro plays every source you add, runs several actions per decision, adds Auto Skip Intro and gives you three Sendboxes with no monthly cap. Monthly, yearly or lifetime; yearly starts with a 7-day free trial. Supported formats: MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What's New in The Cut

1.9

October 20, 2026

What's new in v1.9: Side by Side on iPad and iPhone Duo On iPad and iPhone Duo's inner display, your track list and the player now share the screen. Tap a track and it plays right beside the list, with your tabs still in reach. Fold, unfold or rotate and the layout follows. Apple Watch, Without Your iPhone Out with just your watch? Keep reviewing: accept, reject, rate and add notes, and iCloud syncs it all back to your iPhone, which then runs your actions. Your iPhone also copies the next tracks in your Inbox to your watch, so you can listen through Bluetooth headphones. SoundCloud streams stay on your iPhone. Labels Filter any list by label, and see in Statistics which labels you accept most and least. For SoundCloud tracks, the label is the account that posted them. Look Back in Statistics Step back through past weeks, months and years to see how each one went. Flip to the Next Record Accept or reject and the artwork flies off screen while the next track's card rises in from behind, like flipping to the next record in the crate. Plus: Now Playing text stays readable over bright artwork, the BPM and key line wraps neatly at large text sizes, dragging the waveform no longer stops the page from scrolling, deleting a source no longer signs out another one on the same account, adding a SoundCloud account you already have reconnects it instead of adding it twice, the Now Playing widget wears The Cut's purple, and a crash while iCloud synced in the background is fixed. And more bug fixes and performance improvements.
