User reviews

Pros and Cons

Like a lot of others, I was not happy when the traditional newspaper increasingly became more and more online and less and less paper. However, I’ve adapted and I actually enjoy the online format of The Daily Journal. It’s user-friendly. I print out my daily crossword puzzle 😉.

I didn’t give it five stars because there is close to zero local news. The Daily Journal used to be a true hometown newspaper - On the Record police blotter, Round Our Town, Births, Engagements and Local Events. For the past several years, I have no idea what goes on in my own town anymore. Somehow, only local Obituaries are still published in the regional newspaper , so why can’t other local news that has been discontinued also be included?

Daily Journal App

Works well and easy to use!

Easy

I switched from print to digital version. Easy to use and read although I would recommend a tablet over a phone due to the size.

Easy to use

I love the print edition but this works great. Tap on an article and it expands to an easy to read size.

Keeping in Touch

I have received the DailyJournal as far back as I can remember, when the paper was locally produced in Vineland. I am no longer a Vinelander, however, being able to keep in touch with my birthplace and where my children grew up is important to me. At age 71, you might say I’m addicted to keeping in touch with my Vineland roots and the Daily Journal keeps me close.
