Fun PnC Adventure!
Really had fun with this -- made me think of Space Quest with all of the silly references and what not. Most of the puzzles were accessible and not require over the top leaps of logic, except I did have to find a few hints on the last act! Worth the price, and now Im about ready to dive into the second one!

Lost progress (repeatedly)
I love the gameplay and content but keep losing progress. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to play the later chapters.
Genial…
Wer Maniac Mansion mochte, wird dieses Spiel lieben. Toller Humor! Und entgegen der Beschreibung auch komplett auf Deutsch!
Constant crash
I like the game but I made it partway through case 3 and now it just crashes out at the loading screen. Too bad.
Great game
So fun! Highly recommend getting version 2 now.
10/10 - get the bundle!
I don’t usually write reviews but Darkside detective (1&2) really impressed me! I bought the bundle so I got both the original game and sequel.
Firstly, the sequel (Darkside detective 2) was a much longer gameplay and had much more detailed cases. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy the original Darkside detective; I did. However, the original was finished much faster because the cases are much shorter. For example, I finished the first game in about 1 day whereas the sequel took me 3ish days.
My only issue to note was that the puzzles in both games are extremely easy. This is coming from someone who doesn’t hesitate to look up a walkthrough if needed - I did not have to ever look up any hints or help because it is that easy. I think I only got stuck one or two times, but the way the game is designed, all you have to do is go back through everything and check anywhere you can (which the game shows you every tapable item, if needed). All the puzzles are very straightforward and simple. There was only one “puzzle” that was straight up random and the devs even note that it was essentially random and shouldn’t have worked in the dialogue. I believe this was in the second game.
The dialogue was great and ranged from being very brief to very long winded. I enjoyed that a lot, and didn’t feel like the dialogue ever overpowered the puzzles or gameplay like some games can have. I enjoyed the visuals and thought the game ran extremely smoothly without any crashing or pauses. A few times, I was shocked at the plot twists or simply what came next because it got really out of pocket sometimes (in a good way, mind you!).
I do suggest saving your place if you ever need to click off the game even if only for a few minutes, because it didn’t always save my exact place. However, you’ll never be taken back to the beginning if you don’t manually save.
Overall, I suggest buying the bundle if you want to play this game - you seriously won’t regret it if you like point and click games that aren’t extremely challenging. You will most likely enjoy the second game more as the cases are much longer and more detailed. However, a lot of back story also comes from the first game and the sequel is a direct continuation of the first.
I really enjoyed the “bonus” cases as well and was shocked with how long they were considering they are only labeled as bonuses.
SPOILER - check the settings ;). I thought that was such a fun and clever little addition to add. Along with the credit sequences.

Love this so hard
I’ve played a lot of point and click and this was one of the most enjoyable games in a long time. Was genuinely sad when the cases were complete! Great original storyline, quirky characters, throwback pixelated design, just hard enough gameplay and even the witty/funny/cheesy jokes! Kind of dark but wholesome at the same time? Great value for money with much longer gameplay time than I expected. Highly recommend. Awesome job team can’t wait for the 3rd instalment.

I have this game on every platform
Please make more! I have played this on switch, pc, ps5, and now my phone and it’s amazing every time. My comfort game.. please continue the series!
Extraordinaire
Ayant grandi avec les points & clicks, j’adore ce genre de jeu et celui-ci est vraiment génial.
Simple et efficace. De quoi passer un bon moment.
Une fois terminé je prendrai le numéro 2.

Amazing game
Recommend it to all my friends. The jokes at great and there’s so many easter eggs to find on my next play through!
Lost progress
I was really enjoying this game until I reached level 5 and was midway through. I saved my progress, but when I opened the app again, I found that I was only able to access the first two 'files'—all my progress was lost
Unbelievably bad graphics on iPad 13inch
Unusable on iPad 13 inch display, can’t believe the 5 star reviews, it’s rubbish. Tried all graphics settings just rubbish. Can’t believe I paid good money for this. How do I get my money back.
Great game
I thought it was very witty & funny & different. Great P&C adventure, no bugs! Hope to see more!
So much fun
Lots of fun for us Gen X and Y folks who grew up with the first gen of video games, old tv shows and movies. We actually get the references and jokes that have been peppered throughout this game. This is my favorite thing right now. I play it with headphones on when no one is around to bother me. Clever stories with just the right level of frustration in the clues and puzzle solving. Love it. Please, keep’em coming.

If you loved Sierra Games in the ‘80s…
…then you’ll love this retro adventure game that reminded me of the best parts of playing King’s Quest and Space Quest back in the day, in a fun detective noir meets weird fiction. It was a fun play through with the right kind of challenging puzzle solving game play, and well worth the price.
Absolute Phenomenon
Easy to navigate. Not overly complicated. Retro point & click. Harkens back to the old school ‘Cop Story’ on PC. A must have for any aficionado of classic P&C games. Highly recommend. Worth the cost. The sarcasm, wit, & intelligence that went into the game did not go unnoticed. Kudos across the board. Will easily pursue any future endeavors from this developer.

Excellent jeu et en français !
Bravo !! À prendre sans hésiter
Great nostalgia
Amusing dialogue and some great nostalgic references. Agree the puzzles are simple, but faithful to the point and click genre, with a few laughs breaking the fourth wall. Shall look for the next one for sure.
One small technical niggle was it crashed out after each case is solved and cannot save during a case, I always had to play the whole case in one go. It’s probably my aged iPad! This did not bother me too much and the game is well worth the minor inconvenience.

Excellent
Really enjoying this game, any game that has Enid Blyton in it is a great game to me😂 such nostalgia vibes I grew up on folk of the faraway tree! Nice stories with some comic moments, typical point and click type puzzles, if I had any suggestions it would be more complex puzzles as it’s a bit simple, but it more than makes up for this with originality, graphics and characters. I will no doubt be purchasing the second in the series after I finish this one.
Edit: I forgot to mention the twin peaks vibes…. always going to be an instant hit with me…loved that series…huge Lynch fan here.
