DDN Doesn’t Want You to Read the DDN
Why would a news organization release an app that prevents you from reading their articles?? App constantly refreshes screen when scrolling, which throws you back to the top of the list and/or article. It’s an exercise in frustration - one that I avoid intentionally.
Fix The Refresh!
The app is clean and organized but the refresh is constantly jumping the page back to the top. You can never scroll to the stories further down the page! This makes the app almost useless.
Disappointment
Am a subscriber but site requires log in most times. Also no longer receive e paper notifications.

Content is ok, but the app jumps and flickers in IOS which is annoying.
Free but buggy
Running iOS 15.5 on an iPhone 13 Pro Max and the app continually scrolls to the top of the story list - all by itself. Happens on other iPhone versions and iOS also. Very annoying!

Glitches a lot
I’ve used this app for the past year. Over the last couple of months, the app has a glitch that automatically pulls you back to the top headline. It happens frequently in the app. It would be great if someone worked on correcting this glitch.

Keeps jumping
Cannot scroll down more than 5 entries before the app jumps back to the top making you re-scroll down to where you were to maybe see two more entries before jumping back up again. Deleted and done with this app.
Screen refresh while scrolling
Scrolling through the screens continues to be a problem. While scrolling, the screen is herky-jerky and constantly returns to either the top of the page or several nrws articles above it. This has been a behavior that has been going on for over one year.

Delivery
Since printing has been moved out of the Dayton area, It’s not the Dayton daily news anymore because we usually get the paper between eight and 11 o’clock in the morning. It’s also a Day late news and then getting it at 11 o’clock in the morning it is a day and a half news. In the last month we have not got the paper at all and we’re promised Sunday’s paper along with Monday paper on Monday but didn’t get Sunday’s paper. I think it is now printed in Indiana and that is the delay. Other neighbors and people that I’ve talk to feel the same way. We do not know our paper delivery person‘s name or phone number or email address and my wife is handicapped and the paper is delivered at the street and it is very difficult for her to get it after I have gone to work and that also is a problem.

The adds are way to sensitive in the new app. If you barely touch one of the advertisements, it opens a link for it. This is extremely frustrating. Articles never really change and are always late to report. There are a lot better news choices.
Delivery of paper
My level of displeasure of the delivery of the DNN accelerates in bad weather be it rain, ice or snow.
If you check your telephone call list you will see I have called MANY times and each time the DNN person tries to give me the SAME story the paper deliverer ONLY has to make sure the paper is on the property—meaning at the curb!!!!
My house is on a hill and I am 85 years old and walking down and up the hill on icy or snowy days is difficult for me. My goal is NOT to fall and break a bone or worst. Have explained this to ALL the DNN people. Mike is the only one who convincingly said I CAN HELP you. However, he too failed,
My neighbor at 5092 Jameswood has HER PAPER delivered at her front door EVERY DAY. Our two driveways are adjoining. I have asked YOUR PROBLEM SOLVERS why the delivery person can’t drive further up the drive and deliver MY PAPER at the side door???? SO FAR no one can somehow ask the delivery person to perform the easy task of driving further up to my side door!!!!
Additionally you can note that our street has MANY unhappy calls to the paper about WHERE their paper is thrown. One of the neighbors fell and broke her arm during a ice storm. She was younger and each morning she went to three OTHER neighbors driveways to pick up their paper from the bottom of their hilly driveway and put it at their doorsteps!! She lost over six weeks of work while her wrist and hand healed. I am sure the DDN did not compensate this person!!!
So you asked if I was satisfied with my paper, NO, NOT UNTIL YOU CAN DELIVER IT TO MY SIDE DOOR!!! Delivery is a major part of the paper for me and many other senior citizens. What can YOU DO to remedy this MAJOR PROBLEM????

Good app, one problem
Nice clean interface, excellent speed and reliability and steady source of news. The only thing I dislike is the refresh when scrolling a long list of stories. The refresh put the list back to the top every 30 seconds or so. It’s very annoying. My other news apps don’t do this, so I hope it’s fixable.
