Terrible Update and Now Cannot Access Old Editions
Why do developers need to update an app that is working perfectly fine? This one is now very bad. Hard to control, missing text, slow sharing options. Please go back to the future. Another problem is trying to print out puzzles. The old version printed clearly. The newer version prints out fuzzy and in the Sunday edition when the NYT crossword is printed, the numbers in the grid are barely readable. I have a very good HP printer that prints everything else clearly.

Easy to Use
This app is easy to use. As a subscriber I can read the paper with ease. I read each section but one could skip around with no issues. If I’m behind on reading I will download the issues and catch up on a flight.

Been a subscriber for about 10 years. The Detroit News is a great place to start your day. Great coverage of sports, business, key international news, and general real estate data.
Great app to get my news
I really enjoyed getting the physical paper but I missed a lot because of travel. The DN App is a great way to keep up with the news and back articles.

I delivered the Detroit News from age 12 to 16 and have been reading the DN for over 60 years.
Please deter from the Woke direction the DN seems to be leaning towards the past several years.
If our society is not broken as compared to the rest of the world, it does not need changing.
I cannot understand why/how people leave their FAILED cultures to live in THE UNITED STATES and insist on wanting to insert their FAILED cultures into THE UNITED STATES culture.
Only TOTAL ASSIMILATION can lead to THE UNITED STATES successful life.
Please deter from the Woke direction the DN seems to be leaning towards the past several years.

I miss access to the other Gannett papers. Earlier in the month, I could also read the Free Press and Port Huron Times Herald along with numerous other papers from around the country. Now, I’m limited to the Detroit News.

Just arrived in the states. It was nice being able to use the Detroit News app to read the news while in the Bahamas.

I has been very easy and reliable to get the news daily. The arrows help me find my interests quickly. Well done articles which are fairly balanced. I often incorporate reading both paper and app some days.

Getting worse and worse
Both the News and the Free Press lose a little quality every week. Almost every article has a little or a lot of political bias built in to every article. The reliance on national and international news stories and sources {i.e. Associated Press] makes the newspapers very non local and extremely biased. I doubt I will renew my digital subscription because the same stories are everywhere
