Join the Novozymes team, lead by your superhero, Alphie (the alpha-amylase) through an adventure in ethanol production. Together with his friends, Alphie turns corn into ethanol by chomping down as much starch as possible, converting the starches and dextrins to sugar and then devouring all the sugars and producing ethanol and carbon dioxide. Careful though, you have to masterfully control your pH and temperature and avoid doughballs, fusels and bacteria or your yields will suffer! Challenge yourself as production conditions become more challenging - can you get the same yields in the Spring Time as during Summer Heat?
