Poor design for USA

If you can get past the login screen after creating an account. Than you will find this is based for UK falconers and requires information not needed I. The us. Not practical easier using spreadsheet.

App crashing data is lost.

It’s crashing. Can’t get access to info. Tried offloading and reinstalling. Just won’t open. All data lost.

Crashes.

I really wanted to like this app. I appreciate its development for a limited community. However, the more data I put in, the more unstable it became. It was taking 5-6 tries to get it to accept an entry. Finally just transferred the data to an Excel spreadsheet and deleted the app.

1st year, 1st bird, Apprentice view

This app is really the only one that I can find for iPhones, it could use some improvements, for instance: why do I need to choice what weight measurements I’m using each time? Let me choice one and change it to something else when needed for a one time entries. Why doesn’t let me indicate important weight entries like “trap weight”, 1st time eating, flew hard on game weights? These “special” entries could show on graph as a horizontal lines for reference. Speaking of the graph, it should be labeled, vertical lines should be dates taken from entries not just 1,2,3,4 without connecting correlation to the entries.
I’m sure I’ll have more “issues” later as I just started using it a few hours ago

Stopped working. No support

Despite unlimited birds subscription, cannot add birds even when deleting existing. Multiple attempts at contact. Zero response

Not As Handy As Thought

While the concept is great, the execution has been lacking. This is set up for UK falconers and not very friendly for falconers in the USA. Some of the information it makes you fill out to move forward is not required here, but a work around is to put “NA”. You can’t access the program unless you have internet or data connection, which can be problematic in the field. The provided food list is short, so I find myself adding custom foods all the time. It doesn’t save them to a list, so you have to add them each time. Want to export the data- can’t do it. Can’t move birds to a non-active list or status. A few tweaks and this could be amazing.

Great start to falconry record keeping

Been using this on an iPhone for a month. I live in America and the mandatory input like band number and microchip I just put in “none-Wild caught”. It had no problem with this input so I’ve been able to use with my first bird a red-tailed hawk. I gave it 3 stars cause I cannot print any reports that would bring all my input together. Which is a shame cause the potential for this app is big! It’s an easy way to log quickly that details of food/weight/exercise and other notes about training etc. But I have to look at each one separately. So I still have to write it all down in excel or paper if I want to see it all together on one sheet. Please add a way to print a report that brings all the data info onto one paper to keep in a binder. Thanks!

Not for American Falconers

I gave this app 2-stars because looks promising, but in reality it may as well be a 1-star review because it appears to be unusable for USA falconers. Furthermore, the info in the App Store fails to specify in any conspicuous manner that this app is designed exclusively for UK falconers. I say this because in order to function at all the app requires, as mandatory, the entry of certain information that isn’t required in all cases for USA falconers. For example, the app will not let you even enter a single bird unless you enter a band number and a microchip number. However, in the USA these items are not mandatory requirements for all types of birds, therefore I have no such numbers to enter; and, unfortunately, I cannot utilize the app unless I enter data that I don’t have to enter.

Sadly, I have no way of really knowing whether the app is even as promising as it appears. The unnecessary mandatory fields will render this app unusable for most USA falconers. I would ask the development team to consider making a USA version that does not require certain fields as mandatory in order to access and use the app.

Useless

Get a pencil and paper.

Rubbish

Crashes every time you try to add time and date!!

Not worth your money

Grumpy 2604

No matter what I do username and password are not recognised. Total waste of my time.

Crashing

Would really love to use the app however, like Charlotte, I cannot enter the time and date into the app without it crashing.

Who knows...

App keeps closing trying to register first bird. App crashes also on any attempt to upload pic. Same as before the kinda recent update. Second time trying to download and use the app. Not sure the future of this app. Shame HawkLog isn’t around anymore...

Pricing structure charges you even to store a released bird. This app should be a flat rate purchase for birds because its illogical to pay for a service just to store records on your own device for a bird you don’t even have any more.

Goods212

Will not allow me to access. Saying username or password wrong no matter what I try.

Very useful app for any Falconer

Great app for keeping your hawks records up to date, if you have multiple hawks it is well worth the subscriptions ( its free for one)

Great App!!

Best app on Hawks. Easy to use! Recommended.
