Great Bible Study App but…
Only NLT version
For those of us who prefer the Textus Receptus (KJV, NKJV, MEV), we’re out of luck for the time being.
It’s especially irksome that the NLT was used since it’s a heavily paraphrased version, unlike more conservative versions like the CSB or ESV.
I would love to use this app once a more conservative translation becomes available.
Response from developer
Hi Zachary, As mentioned in our support ticket, we intend to release the app soon with the KJV, MEV, and ESV as soon as next year, hopefully, in the earlier quarters. Everyone has their favorite translation. The NLT used to have a bad reputation as a paraphrased translation, but it has been updated and is now considered a dynamic translation. We find the dynamic translation to be a great tool. We also don't want you to put all your eggs in one basket. We encourage you to read all the reputable translations to be well-grounded in your studies of the Word. Thanks for your comments. Just for clarity's sake, all of our app store descriptions state that the app is in the NLT translation. We aren't trying to hide that fact. We expect to have to update that description very soon to include the other aforementioned translations. God Bless!
So,so Good

After reviewing what part of this app a few days ago, I got the inspiration to just
"ScreenShot" the section that I want.
Then I can convert that into my Notes app ( Apple ) and highlight the sentence or just 1 verse, depending on what it was that I wanted to remember.
I have just started reading sections of this app . And already I am finding that the Format desperately needs revised. You cannot highlight or copy just one sentence r just one verse. the format makes you highlight the whole page!

A few things: Our latest update (Ver 3.0.8) has expanded highlighting and note-taking ability! Check it out! As to adding translations - We totally agree—the app needs the flexibility to let you choose the translation you use most. Our first priority was making sure the app had the core features to make it useful and worth the subscription. Now that we feel we’ve hit that baseline, our next big goal is precisely what you’re asking for. We’re hoping to add the ESV, KJV, and possibly the MEV soon—all of which are already included in the print version of the FireBible. We see subscribers like you as part of the mission—making the FireBible more accessible than ever. So thank you for the encouragement—your voice matters, and we’re working on making this happen soon! does not work
Good Start
A few touches I hope are coming:
-more page/text options (sepia for example)
-layout justification that can be adjusted
A big reason I can't give more than the stars I have given is the Translation choice (or lack of it). I know the A/G has gone to primarily using the NLT, but if the Bible Engagement Project can have multiple translations, this app... and the Fire Bible printed versions should as well. I use the NIV and ESV way more than the NLT when I read, study, and teach. Please figure out a way to add more translations. Fire Bibles are more expensive anyway, so if it costa a couple extra dollars per item to do it, it will be well worth it.
NIV Please? 🥺🙏🏻
A great app for a great Bible!
I like it
More features coming
Needs one time fee
A monthly fee is unreasonable.
Fire Bible
I have an old NIV copy of the Fire Bible, so I was excited to find the app. I would have given 5 stars, but it doesn’t give an option to download the Bible and it requires Wi-Fi. I don’t always have that ability on my iPad. Otherwise it is a great app!!
$3.99 A Month?
$3.99 A Month?!

Larry, Thank you for your dedication to the FireBible! Your support means a lot to us, and we truly appreciate your use of our resource. As you're aware, FireBibles come at a cost. As a missionary organization, every contribution towards a FireBible purchase goes directly into funding reprints, supporting not only our English versions but also 67 other translations. Our aim is to expand to 100 translations, and your support contributes significantly to this goal. Regarding the subscription price of our app, we view it as a form of mission support. It aids us in enhancing the app's functionality and will eventually assist in funding these 100 translation projects. We hope this explanation sheds light on why the app isn't offered for free. We firmly believe that the FireBible toolkit is incredibly valuable and worthy of its cost. Thank you once again for your unwavering support. Best regards, The FireBible Team

Dear Mrs_pdc, Wi-Fi is only necessary during the initial download of the app and the approval of the subscription. After that, the app remains on your device indefinitely without requiring an internet connection. Updates, however, will need a Wi-Fi connection when they become available. Additionally, if you have Family Share enabled, each member of your family can download the app onto their devices at no extra cost, which is a fantastic offer. Exciting news! In March 2024, we'll be releasing an update that will include Copy/Paste and Note Taking features to enhance your experience with the app. Thank you for your support and anticipation of these upcoming improvements! Best regards, The FireBible Team
Cost???
Other options need to be pursued, maybe contact You Version for their ministry model in distribution. Let’s get the Word of God and the Fire 🔥 Bible out there without this. Maybe $3.99 one time for the app.
