I can’t get past the frequency stage!
I’ve literally been tweaking this radio dial for 30 min, and though it reaches the end of the sine wave as yellow, it won’t respond. The under pattern is too fast. So I tweak it the other way be nanometers and it shortens the yellow line. I can’t with this game. I wish you could lock it in or at least have a more incremental dial between 3 and 4 because it’s not able to respond well to progress any further. I’ve almost given up. I’ve finished the game. I don’t like the story and how Molly ends up and Salim is donating blood? Resolution is not good. Not my favorite game. I would not recommend.
And the lame jokes about vampires, ethnicity, and people dying, and what seem to be a cute game about getting a kid’s head smashed in, and then the attacker becomes the caretaker? Come on guys, not good storytelling.

cute with a half baked story
to start with the positives i think this game has a great art style. everything looks really cute and polished. i also mostly like the gameplay, especially when it comes to using the items the characters have.
the big and obvious negative is the story. it feels REALLY unfinished. it’s like the writer had some big ideas but didn’t have the time or resources to finish it. when i got to the ending i thought it was a joke because of how abrupt it was and how much the tone of the ending flip flopped. there were also some plot points that were dropped in but never explained any further.
i wish we could have explored the environments more. they were so cute that it was disappointing how little time we got to spend with them. the dialogue was also a bit cringe but i guess that’s just 80s slang.
this game should have been longer. more time was needed to introduce the concept of the world and definitely to wrap up the end in a satisfying way. there’s some good stuff here, i just think it could use a lot of help. also some of the reviews have been complaining about “politics”. the most “political” thing in this game is non white people existing. guys i promise it’s okay for there to be a pakistani character. he won’t bite.

A weird game indeed
There’s death, race jokes, religion jokes, and the most confusing game I’ve ever played.
I’m not mad about this, these are all things I don’t really care about. I thought the race and religion jokes were funny because I’m part of the topics being joked about. The deaths did startle me a little, but I don’t care about the rest of the things noted.
What I’m concerned about is how other people will view this game. People may not like these types of jokes and no one will appreciate a badly written story. Im just here to give future downloaders a warning: If you don’t like slightly offensive race and religion jokes, a bad storyline with a lot of plot holes, and/or death and violence then I don’t recommend this game.

A fun, light game
I really enjoyed this. The puzzles weren’t too difficult, allowing the value of the game to be on the story. The story left something to be desired, however. The fact that it was missing heft really came to light with the twist ending. There was nothing to be gained or lost with how it ended because we were given no reason to care about the fate of any characters. The stakes (no pun intended) were not established and the impact of the story outcome wasn’t explored, leading to an abrupt ending.
Cute dialogue and great aesthetic, but missing some depth.

Not perfect
I really enjoy the art and style of the game but it needs some polishing. The pacing is kind of exhausting… tons of backstory with very little payoff, shoved in between every single instance of gameplay.
The scenes are gorgeous and I would love more time to explore them in depth, even if the interactions were simple and not essential to the puzzles. But instead, you only get to go exactly where you need to, and the clues are only activated exactly when you need them. I know that’s sort of the schtick w an interactive novel, but after clicking thru 5 slides of narrative, it would be nice to find more than one clue at a time, etc.

It’s good but…
⚠️spoilers⚠️ Honestly this is a good game and I don’t at all see how people could hate on it but you do you I guess. Anyways, the story was simple and cute, and to all the people hating on it, I’m pretty sure that was the point, for it to be short and slightly morbid (considering molly’s grandmother dies half way through and molly nearly dies herself). However, I feel you could’ve made the story a bit more engaging. You could’ve possibly added a third (actually fourth) member who was sort of like the mom friend of the group, someone who keeps everyone from getting hurt (which, by the way, could’ve saved molly from being a vampire), and keeps them out of trouble. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this

Sorry for my horrid English
Hi! I played this game again and now I can answer my own questions! Stil think it should be 12+ buuuut that’s just me! You start getting mustaches around Salam’s age. Mr. Jenkins is just a crazy old man. The axe was dull. Just cuz I think Moses is dead...does not mean he is. Gma Ford prolly died I’m assuming of a heart attack. Lemme start my real review by saying: POOR GOAT!!!!! I love goats! Gma Ford. Not peticular. Peculiar! How was Molly informed her parents died in a crash?!?!?! How was Molly bitten by a vampire and... BECOME a vampire??
Otherwise nothing.

Loved the graphics, but the storyline could use some work
This was a fun, short game and I enjoyed playing it. Most of the puzzles weren’t particularly hard and I was able to complete the game in one sitting. I think this game is great for someone who is new to “point and click” adventures or younger audiences. Overall, I enjoyed playing and appreciated the diverse cast.
Even though I enjoyed the game, the story line left something to be desired. That is why I’ve given it a 3 out of 5 stars. It was actually pretty great up until the end when it all seemed to just…unravel.

HORRIBLE characters and boring gameplay
Every character in this game is as 3 dimensional as a piece of copy paper. First, you have the nerdy geek with a stutter and asthma who loves programming and computers. Next, you have the spunky ginger girl who’s a free spirit and loves to run wild.... both caricatures we have seen about ten thousand times in every media imaginable. Believe it or not, just giving people things like different ethnicities and religions don’t count as personality traits.
On top of the poor character design, the story is about as boring as watching paint dry. Now I wouldn’t mind if the characters were like able, but I’ve already covered THAT. The quote on quote “puzzles” are about as challenging and exciting as folding laundry. And again, there is SO much text. It’s 10% game play, and 90% reading for I story that I have 0 interest in anyways.

Exploring youth
I enjoyed this game not only for the fact of that it took place in the 80’s but also the little nods and references to the movies of the era, the music and the soundtrack for the backing of the different scenes. This game makes you think especially in the cars at the drive in movie theater as well in the catacombs when moving tiles to move ahead. Enjoyed the story although would have liked for the Dr. Constantine part to be explored further but overall really enjoyed this game.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and feedback. We will try and improve!
Ignore other reviews!
I don’t know what the negative reviews are talking about. This was a fun little story/adventure game. There was absolutely nothing confusing about it. It is a short and sweet, mostly story-telling game. The little pieces of mini games you get to play are simple. I liked it a lot actually. I only wish it was longer or that other, similar episodes would come out. Other than that I enjoyed this hour of playtime.

Cheers. Thanks for the feedback! We have some updates coming soon!
Not for me
First, this seems to be targeted at the Adventure Games 101 demographic. I am way past the point where finding a long series of items by opening drawers holds interest for me.
Second, the developer’s desire to be “inclusive and diverse“ was so extreme that it is a major distraction. One of the 2 lead characters is a gay Muslim boy with a stutter and asthma, who somehow worships a female god. <major eye roll>
Setting aside the inherent conflict in these beliefs, I quickly grew exhausted of reading the dialogue with endless stutter, even when the poor kid is thinking to himself. I officially shut the game down when I was instructed to find northeast so I could pray to a made-up female Islam god. See ya!

Clunky and seems unfinished
This doesn’t have a great storyline and the game play is extremely clunky. It’s like they finished this game halfway through making it and was like, “eh. Good enough”. I feel like it could be awesome, but it falls extremely short.
It takes forever to get through the dialogue. There are minimal settings to be able change and that’s not one of them. I couldn’t even finish this game. I was tapping so much to just get through the stupid dialogue so I barely was able to do anything since that took up a vast majority of the game play... not worth the download.

This was awesome!
Please make a second one. Yes this was pretty short but I loved the story and it was super cute! Pls make a part two with the younger brother!
The only things that didn’t make sense to me was the grandmother dying?? Like why was that just swept over like it didn’t matter, were you pressed for time to release the game or what? And the fact that they now live with the dude who killed her parents like it was all good... but other than that super cute aesthetics and sweet little friendship story.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. :)
I really wanted to like this game.
Let me start off by saying the game has a very nice aesthetic. That’s what drew me in in the first place, and the only reason this game has a two star review instead of one. The rest is absolutely atrocious. The story is confusing and bad. The descriptions and back stories are worthless and don’t belong, and the ending was quite simply stupid. It doesn’t seem like it even knows what it wants to be. The interface could have been worlds better. If this is a game that wants to be about finding things in an environment, why is it so zoomed out? Maybe that wouldn’t have been so noticeable if zooming didn’t take eight pinches out. Also, why not zoom into a drawer when you interact with it? You can’t really see inside it when you open it, even when scrolling around. The puzzles were also confusing and boring. They didn’t go along with the initial gimmick of the game, which was finding objects and using them from your inventory.
This game could have very easily been much better, I’m really disappointed.

Fun little story
The story was cute, but I wasn’t expecting that ending though... but overall the puzzles weren’t really challenging which for me was a nice break. I liked the interaction with the characters and having to click on story items and such. My only complaint would be that there wasn’t enough puzzles. I understand it was more of an interactive story but I guess that’s just not my cup of tea. I still liked it but I wouldn’t play another game like this. It was a well made game though and I recommend everyone just give it a try and play it for yourself.

Thanks for the kind and honest review.
Cute!
A short and sweet story. The visuals were wonderful and made me want to see more of the world. The puzzles were very light and felt like they mostly existed to keep this game from being a story you tapped through and instead a story you interacted with, which I think served it well. I really enjoy the type of flow you feel from knowing exactly what a game wants from you. My only real complaint is that we didn’t get anything but narration for the ending, which gave me a little mood whiplash, but the time it took me to get there was very enjoyable. This was a great game to play on my sick day home from work. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to play / read this story.
Laudable foray, but go back to the drawing board
Enough has been said in other reviews about what’s annoying in this game. But it emotionally impresses you at least enough to warrant taking the time to write a review about it, which is a validation that it has the potential to be a hit, if changes are made. So I’ll focus my review on tips for the developer to not consider their investment lost: 1. Having an Irish Jewish protagonist be friends with a devout South Asian Muslim is reflective of society today and not the issue; it’s done subtly in so many other games. What is the issue in this game is that the entire character development doesn’t gel with the storyline. Consider reimagining certain aspects of the myth all the way through to the ending you are creating before writing.
2. That when Mr. Jenkins catches up with you in the graveyard during the lockpicking nothing happens but a sound effect and you get to repeat with no consequences is unrealistic. Same with the car lights.
3. Beating the car light section plainly got too boring. Waiting forever for the lights to change, getting caught by the previous light, such a drag. Especially when you see that the kids could just go from behind the cars but the gameplay mechanics don’t let you.

Poor Storytelling, Forced Political Ideas
The game looked very promising, the aesthetic and many of the mechanics are fantastic, but the poor story telling and shortness of actual gameplay ultimately lead to disappointment. I wanted to give this game five stars as soon as I started it, however not everything was as great as the first impression given by the game’s visuals and soundtrack. The game tries to force many different ideologies and political issues into the story in what I can only imagine as an attempt to be “progressive”, but the reality is that it ends up filling the story with more fluff than actual story. Speaking of story, there wasn’t much of one. Events seem to have no cause or effect, the plot seems to move along in the some of the least clever ways I have ever seen in a game, and to top things off I finished the game with more questions than answers. I wanted so badly to love this game, but it ends up being my first disappointment with Apple Arcade so far.

A confused game
I can’t figure out what this game is trying to be. The actual gameplay is clearly made for younger kids. The way the characters talk is probably geared towards pre-teens. And then there’s the subject matter....vampires, people dying, a murdered goat, which is not at all appropriate for kids. It tries to cram every possible diversity issue and politically correct topic into one game, which ends up making it feel very forced and all over the place.
I was hoping it would be a fun point and click adventure with puzzles to solve, but it’s mostly just boring dialogue and offers no way to skip or speed through it. If they changed the subject matter, it could be a decent kids game I guess.
