Unable to change the audio voice while playing the article

Unable to change the voice while playing an article in the settings, the options for changing the article, payback voice should be included. The current voice is arrogant.

My experience with The Hindu

I am now 61 years old and has been a reader of The Hindu since my ninth standard days. The excitement generated around N T Ramarao launching TDP was the time I became a daily reader of The Hindu. I have changed as a person, India has changed, the world has changed, the way we consume the media has changed. But one thing that has not changed is the habit of reading The Hindu, daily. It’s likely to continue for the rest of my life. Thank you, The Hindu.

Best ePaper in the league

When it comes to newspapers, The Hindu doesn’t need any review on it’s style of Journalism and Reporting. There are few other newspapers that stand near to Hindu’s reputation. However, none of the other outlets have managed to publish an app that gives the reader the same comfy as you would get while reading the print version. Love the app 🙏🏼

Rubbish app

After paying the full amount and confirming the payment, all I get is a black screen when I try to open the epaper. I have to try and negotiate through article links. Awful

Unable to open epaper/long loading time of minutes

Im using an ipad 6th gen, the epaper generally takes about 30 seconds to load, but sometimes it takes several minutes, today it has totally failed to open. Rest of the apps are working just fine, its just the hindu epaper app.

Please act on feedback

The problem with the app is if one is reading an article by opening it the app should show the complete article irrespective of the fact the that the part of article is on different pages. Currently one has to close the article then scroll through pages and then jump on to the page where the rest of the article is. The reason one moves to digital news is for convenience. Please fix it guys…it’s a small update on the app !!

InApp Reader is worst

When a post of news is clicked it open the post in a reader view. But the reader view only allows to change the font size. It does not allow font styles, Background colours, highlighting, etc.

I don’t want to bright light flashing on my face when I am catching up on news after work.

I have to go to web download the entire news ePaper to PDF and read on a pdf reader that supports it.

App issues?

I dearly love the Hindu App and it makes reading more convininet especially as a college student, although I do find it a bit slow when you first open the app. I can click multiple times on the paper of the day and still it buffers or takes time to open. I just wish the buffer issue can be solved because I’ve had to go out of the app, refresh the app multiple times before it opens, and if I’m given breaks of 20 mins I don’t want to spend 5-8 mins trying to open the app.

Black colored screen

I have a 2 year all access pass. I noted that the epaper transiently loads and then shows a black screen. I can read articles individually though. But I regularly use this app on my iPad to get the feel of reading the actual newspaper. This black screen has paralyzed my epaper experience.

I love the ePaper

I thank the team at The Hindu for bringing this e-paper version on to the App Store. Even though we get the print newspaper every morning I hardly read the print paper but the introduction of this e-paper has changed that and now for the past few years I regularly read the editorial and op-Ed pages. The formatting is nice and more enjoyable than the print. The last two pages of context are a very nice addition. Great work The Hindu!

Taking too long

The newspaper viewing and reading is smooth but opening of the newspaper after clicking on it takes atleast 5 minutes. Every time I leave the app and try to open the newspaper again, it takes another 5-10 minutes. This makes it frustrating and really inconvenient. Please resolve this ASAP

Can’t access ePaper despite subscription on my iPad

Have been facing this issue with the ePaper not opening in my iPad. I am able to access the articles only when I am opening the reader. This defeats the whole purpose of an e paper subscription when I can’t even see all the articles only one page. All the pages appear blank and black. Really disappointing
