Alhamdulillah, version 2.0 is our biggest release yet! Here's just some of what's new: Learn - A new tab, built for studying rather than only reading. Topics gathers every āyah that speaks to a subject, wherever it falls in the mushaf, across 2,328 of them. Themes tells you what the passage in front of you is about, in reading order, from the first page to the last. Mutashabihat collects the 813 phrases that recur across the Qur'an, each with every āyah it appears in. Many verses open or close almost identically, and those near-matches are where revision goes wrong; reading them side by side is what settles which is which. Similar āyāt does the same for whole verses that echo one another, sometimes word for word. All of it is reachable from the verse you are reading, or you can browse and filter by sūrah, juz' and how often a phrase repeats. Transliteration is now free! For every word and for the whole āyah. If you cannot yet read the Arabic script, you can still say the verse in front of you. Landscape, rebuilt - Turn the phone and the mushaf opens as a two-page spread. The verse sheet, the word list, tafsīr and the recitation controls now dock beside the page as a column rather than covering it, so you can read and study at once. Home becomes two columns, and the playback bar steps out of the way while nothing is playing so the page keeps its full height. Also in this release: The Learn tab is open to everyone. You can see what is inside before deciding whether to buy it, and going to a page, a sūrah or a verse there is always free. A tafsīr picker in Settings, so the commentary you prefer is the one you get. A way back to whatever list you followed a verse from, in the reader's top bar. Verses you are memorising now have their own section in Bookmarks. Copying a verse shows a confirmation, copies what it says it will, and no longer leaves a stray character in the middle of the Arabic. The word-by-word view shows the Arabic alongside the translation, which it should always have done. Quicker to launch, and search answers faster. Minor bug fixes and improvements.
