WHAT HAPPENED?
My original review is below. But suddenly the sync stopped working, the developer page for support gives error message, the email to the support comes back as undeliverable…. Is this all from the new update last week?

A great digital adaptation
This is the best Wilhelm-based I Ching online that I have found.
Insight
This easy to use app is very authentic and very useful to both study the I Ching and to consult the venerable oracle.

Can’t imagine a better I Ching app.
I can’t say I’ve tried a ton of I Ching apps but I can’t imagine any other being better than this one. If I may be permitted one critique it would be that the bottom bit of text for the readings is cut off and I need to swipe up and hold to see all the text. This is on an iPhone 8 so not sure if it’s just my phone or not. Other than that it is pure oracular perfection.

Can’t figure out how to manually input
I thought I’d be able to manually input a hexagram so I could do it in person and journal on the app, but from what I’m seeing I can only cast a hexagram using the app
Wilhelm’s translation
This app has become for me a daily reading requirement. Since I found this app I have been reading the text more infrequently and have learned so much more from Wilhelm’s writings than any other translation available. The app allows a deeper understanding of the trigrams and is a real treasure to own. The ease of use and clarity is so important to me and has made the study a daily joyful experience.

Love the original text and multi- method throws
Only thing I’d want is easier text formatting. I love the way it serves as a journal, and you can even export.
Was wonderful; now it’s very glitchy with “coins”
Was a wonderful app. Used for almost ten years. My dependable friend is now consistently glitchy and stuck and the forced use of the “coins” is performative, slow and annoying. Simplicity is good, useless ornamentation is not. Very disappointed. Sad, even.
I use this everyday.
Updated: With the recent update my entire journal history was wiped away. Years of readings. Moments of profound contemplation, crucial turning points in my life and my realizations relevant to them. It was a huge loss for me.

This is a really great app. It is a way to cast the Yi Ching, with some other great features. But it also includes a translation of the Yi Ching that is very good. Wilhelm's translation is my favorite. Reading the book feels like sitting with a wise old granddad that instructs you in what to be careful of as you navigate the world. It is exactly the type of wisdom our modern culture has eliminated from our character. The text alone is worth the price of the app. But that it includes statistically accurate casting makes it a really great value. It is easy to use. Really, get this app. Great product.

The Best Translation
Love this app. Technically it has been moody and strange strange but it beautifully designed and it’s worth the bother. As Northrop Frye said of it, the I Ching is a wise and benevolent oracle. Thank you.

Love the Wilhelm I Ching ap for readings. The only thing I would improve on is that it’s very tiny text and you can’t make it larger or stretch it out with a touch to make it larger and more easy to read

Thank you for your feedback. The default text font size of book content has been increased in a recent app update. Additionally, the app supports Dynamic Type, to allow even larger text. You can make text larger by going to the Settings app, under Display & Brightness > Text Size. That said, we understand some users like yourself may prefer an app-specific text size feature, and we are looking into providing that in a future app update. If you have any further suggestions for future app updates, let us know by using the Feedback option under Resources in the app, or from the our web site.
Online Wilhelm I Ching
I’ve consulted this I Ching book for decades. It is my favorite. I usually use the coin method, but I enjoy the yarrow stalks in the app too. I usually meditate on my question at least the night before consulting the oracle so that my question is already to go when I consult the app. Then in just a few shakes, the Universe lines up and answers my question.
To me the I Ching Is not a plaything, but a serious way of looking at my life. I consulted the Book of Changes at the beginning of the pandemic. My hexagram? Number 5, changing to number 17 with lines 2, 3, and 4. It as all came to pass. I also enjoy printing my hexagrams, even though they are located in the convenient journal.
I’ve been using this app ever since it was released. This is my favorite version of the Book of Change, and it’s good to always have it on my iPhone, close by.

Won’t load, I fear loss of journals :(
I have loved this app for years but today it won’t load and I’m afraid of losing the journals.
