Indy Star
Please continue with the Print Edition of the Star, because I am not a fan of the e edition of the Star. I have been reading the Star for more than 50 years.
Mornings with the Star
I’m now 73 years old. In 1960 I became an Indianapolis Star delivery carrier in a small town, Coatesville, IN. The town had a population of around 700 and I delivered to around 120, so I knew about everyone. The Star was part of my identity. Surviving people of Coatesville to this day remember me as their Star paperboy. Over the years the Star was always part of my morning routine when I could get one to read, (I became an airline pilot with TWA and electronic editions were yet to be thought of). Now retired, I spend the first parts of my morning with the electronic print edition and am so glad you help me keep in touch with the community I love. Thank you Indianapolis Star.

My Indianapolis Star subscription wasn’t working, but after I called with my concerns, it came back!
Does It’s Job
Works fine to read the paper. Plenty of options to suit your individual wants.
Every morning
No longer do I have to comb the shrubbery searching for my morning paper and wonder if it was even delivered. Now I can pull up the latest edition on my iPad and read with my coffee at a convenient time. It helps me to keep up with community events and world news. I look forward to the Sunday edition with its big crossword puzzle. I print it out, pour a beverage, and sit with it after church. I would miss it if it were no longer available, but I don’t miss coping with the delivery issues of the paper copy.

So easy to read on my iPad but we also love reading the actual printed paper. We never want that to go away! But having this so easy on iPad, both are the best, so convenient and way to keep up with National and local news!
Good News
I’m enjoying reading Indiana news while I live several (!) states away. It’s easy to use & the edition shows up in color. The Star covers my sports teams!!
handles just like the physical paper
I like having actual pages laid out like newspaper pages. It’s easy to swipe from page to page. Several years ago, to read the comics, you had to tap once or twice to read each one, which was very frustrating. But now you can read them like you do in the physical paper.
Improving!
Many iterations have appeared on my iPhone now. Finally it’s beginning to click. I just wish the interactive puzzles (Sudoku, Premier crossword) could be used.
It’s convenient
I like having the app for the IndyStar. It’s easy to access and navigate. Also like that it’s always available since my physical paper rarely shows up at my house

Easy to read the news and to keep up on what is happening in my home state.
2 issues
1. Oftentimes the app closes out. 2. I prefer to view in portrait mode. It resembles a natural layout of reading the paper version. But there is an advertising “bar” near the bottom of the page the interferes with that experience. On the positive side, my wife and I don’t have to wait for the other one to finish any particular section of the ‘paper’ before we can read it
