The Lap App This App is for use at distance races - High School/NCAA/USATF track meets or similar events. In these events, a number of competitors are doing multiple laps on a track. For example, a 10,000 meter race is 25 laps and might have 20 runners in it. Runners will be getting lapped. The runners should be wearing identifying stick-on ‘hip’ numbers. If your job is to keep track of which runner has how many laps to go, this app is for you. This can apply to track officials, timers, and other meet management. IF you want an app to keep track of your laps while you are doing your own workout - this is not the app for you. There are plenty of others out there. THE FREE VERSION IS LIMITED TO 6 RUNNERS. The purpose of the free version is for you to verify that it works on your device, and to verify that it can do what you need. There is no time limit on the free version. Everything else is fully functional. Just a 6 runner limit. Features: Automatic lap tracking for each runner - the app tells you "how many laps to go". You just input hip numbers as they run by the start/finish line. Three input methods - screen keyboard, external keyboard, voice recognition (screen keyboard is rough, external keyboard is good, voice recognition is great) Three feedback options - beep, computer voice, or both (voice feedback can be connected to an external speaker - aiming towards the runners!)
