Basic Gameplay Kinda fun for time suck
definitely would’ve enjoyed a little bit more realism such as being able to change the initial direction or something really crazy like being able to choose the left or right post to start from. it would be really cool if you could actually use your finger to do the sweeping and the direction that your finger goes back-and-forth is the direction of the actual sweep and the physics would reflect, but that might be too much to ask in this case. The sweeping is very limited. The velocity is really hard to gauge. You get one chance to make a tilt to one side or the other to get a “curl“ but after that, it is set it and forget it, there’s no way to make any corrections with sweeping. Live Play would be great
The best physics in a curling game, good interface. I wish we could play live against an opponent without having to wait and watch the replays.

2. Improve ability to track line as the rock is travelling down the ice. Countless times I forget precisely where the rock I’m trying to come around is and miss a shot! Shame on me I guess but I’d gladly take the assistance!
3. Allow sweeping of opponent’s rocks behind the t line
4. Eliminate cheating in multi - player. I’m still certain this is happening as I’ve been able to test this via pause>”zzz” during a missed shot and been given a chance to re-take it.
5. Make the computer more clever - too easy to beat on hard even
That all said this is a delightful game that I’ve had for at least 10 years and it always entertains. Thank you!!

Expanded opponent selection
Is gmc47 the only person I can play against (except, lol, obviously not since they decline every matchup)?? My brother also plays this game, yet we’re never randomly matched cause we live many provinces apart. I’d love a larger pool of opponents so that my past results aren’t completely full of ‘gmc47: forfeited’

Hello, thanks for playing the Last Rock these years. I don't have any control over who gets matched to who, aside from having 2 pools: for casual and frequent players. If you have more than 5 games ongoing, the next match will be with the frequent pool. Perhaps there are more people in the casual pool? I don't have access to any statistics from Apple on Game Center games usage, but hopefully you will be able to find more opponents in one of the 2 pools. Happy Curling!

I leave reviews calling out gmc47 for being a giant baby who never accepts matches and those get deleted. Gmc47 leaves a review calling me out for…being better than everyone else?…and it’s still there. Very interesting.

The Last Rock rocks!
I live next door to an ice rink and curl every week. This app captures the experience nicely. Fun to play and it is giving me valuable experience in deciding on the best way to play each shot. The fast forward button is a nice addition if you don’t want to wait in real time for the rock to reach its destination. One change I would like to see would be an actual curling scoreboard always visible at the top or bottom of the screen. One complaint is that on my iPad it is easy to throw the rock and have time to press the direction of curl buttons, but with the much smaller screen on my iPhone, when I’m trying to throw hard (by swiping my finger up quickly) it is difficult to press the curling buttons before the rock has passed the hog line, leading to a lot of “No handle” calls. When I find a better curling app I’ll play it, but until then, this is the app I’ll use.

Perfect, no-frills curling.
Love it. Haven’t tried matchmaking so don’t know how that goes or if there is even enough of a player base, but the AI is good enough for me!
Selectable turns
Great game worth downloading, just wish you could select your turns instead of needing to rotate the phone, for whatever reason often times the game registers the wrong turn which is frustrating, otherwise love it!
Run away and hide, cowards
A bigger collection of losers there has never been. I nudge and I nudge and I nudge, but as soon as one of these players has the chance against me, they end the game. Take your L’s like men. Damien, you’re gonna kill your game like this.

2. The quicker turnover time for the online games is better, but maybe a little too quick? Also, the turn timing out should swing back and forth. If your opponent times out after 16 hours (or whatever it actually is), you now have 16 hours to respond. If that time expires, your opponent now has their chance to play their turn again.

The only thing I’d add (besides more online players to play against) is a practice mode where you can place rocks anywhere and try out different shots.

I’ve been playing this for a few years and I still play it regularly. The physics seem good. Well worth the price.
Hard to rate
One player using a cheating app and playing every human vs human game has killed interest for everybody. Wish the creator would address this, because the game is terrible now as a result. Forfeit 90% of games before they start because you’re playing against a cheat.
The hard computer mode is a bit off and not worth playing after a short while as it’s not very competitive. Game arrow covers just inside the hog line which hides long guards, and graphics cover the wings making aim a problem. The mechanics of the game itself aren’t bad, but not at all managed or improved in any sense by the creator. Many improvements would be so simple. Avid curler and moving on, never any maintenance.
