Invasive app
I downloaded the free app because I loved the Lizzie Bennet diaries and remember watching the series unfold on YouTube. I was curious about the new format but upon opening the app, it requests for your phone number. After giving my phone number (to get an access code), it required access to my photos and contacts. You cannot opt out of this. This seems terribly invasive.
Why is a code necessary after I downloaded the app unless you want to text/message? Why can this not be done from within the app?

Pay your cast and crew
Ashley Clements (Lizzie Bennet) released a statement saying that none of the cast or crew were notified of this, nor did they receive payment. I was so excited for this app and absolutely loved the way it allowed you to experience the show in real time, but I deleted it a few days later after Ashley’s statement.

Rewatchers unite!
This is such a brilliant way to rewatch The Lizzie Bennet Diaries! I was pleasantly surprised to see the tweets included in the app, and it’s all in real time, I feel like it’s 2012 all over again.
Very cool to see the fandom come together and share GIFs of their favorite parts too. Looking forward to continuing through the rest of the series right here on my phone.

What a fun little app!
My daughter invited me to watch the Lizzie Bennet Diaries and I am really enjoying it so far. I like the short episodes and being able to message my daughter right in the app! It’s awesome!
Fun and engaging new streaming app!
Such an exciting way to re-watch the original series in real time. I love that you can connect with friends, family and the community while watching the show and share your opinions. It’s very engaging and the in-built app features are really creative and fun. Would recommend!

Well. I was excited until I looked into it for more than a second and realized just how much y’all are screwing over the cast and crew.
Cash grab, and none is going to the artists or crew
They are culling the fandom for their person information, likely for profit, meanwhile, the artists and crew haven’t been paid residuals or for their work since they filmed it.
Deleted
At first I thought it was a great idea but then I was disappointed to learn that the cast is not getting any payment from this iteration. In fact they didn’t know about the app until it launched. Deleting the app to support the cast and crew.
Actors Not Compensated
I was very sad to found out that none of the actors featured are not receiving any type of payment or residuals from this app. Instead of downloading the app go search for the actors official social media accounts to show support for them and their projects.
Artists deserve to be paid!
This app does not benefit the cast and crew of LBD. Therefore, I will not support it.
No compensation for those who created the content
Hey LBD fans! This app is not going to be helping the crew and cast that made LBD. They aren’t getting paid for their work, not through this app or in any other format.
Compensate the REAL creators
The app creators need to fairly compensate and pay the actors and writers of this series. Do not download this app which does not benefit them in any way.
