Unlimited Route Calculations: Free accounts can now calculate as many routes as they want. The weekly limit has moved to exports — you get 3 free exports per week (sending a route to Apple or Google Maps), with unlimited exports on Premium. Explore as many routes as you like and only export the ones worth driving. Motorcycle Support: You can now add motorcycles alongside your cars — pick from a curated list of top brands (Harley-Davidson, Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Triumph, and more), enter your model, and optionally log your engine size and MPG. If you enter MPG, fuel cost estimates work just like they do for cars. Motorcycles show their own icon throughout the app — in your garage, on trip cards, and in the route selector. Smarter Route Suggestions: We've upgraded the AI powering our scenic route generation. Routes are now calculated with a more capable model, which means better road selection, more interesting waypoints, and descriptions that actually capture what makes a drive worth taking. Referral Codes: Sharing The Long Way with friends? Referral codes can now be entered at sign-up to track how you found us. If you received a code from a creator or friend, tap "Have a referral code?" on the sign-in screen to enter it. UI Polish The tab bar in My Drives has been cleaned up — it now uses icons only, giving each section more breathing room, especially on smaller screens. Bug Fixes & Stability: Fixed an issue where the export limit modal on guest accounts could be clicked through General performance and reliability improvements

A little too early rn

You can’t really use the app at all without an subscription. It’s also kind of buggy and says that I used up my 3 route limit without actually generating any routes. Apparently this bug is being fixed but it hasn’t yet. there’s a free trial for the pro version so use that before you try to use it beforehand and get frustrated

Just to clarify — the route limit applies when you calculate a route, not when you export to maps. That said, it’s something we’re looking to adjust in a future update so the limit only counts on export. In the meantime, Pro has a free trial if you want unlimited routing. Appreciate you checking it out!

Motorcycles

This app seems great so far but I think motorcycles should be able to be added to my garage. It’d be super cool

Subscription

Seems really cool just isn’t free friendly since I can only do 3 routes a WEEK. If you want to use this app, it’s painful if u don’t buy the subscription.

Useless app

1 out of the 6 “features” are free. The app was made with Claude in a day. It’s super slow and looks awful. The “dev” spams tiktoks and argues in comments. Don’t waste you’re time 😂

To clarify — The Long Way offers 6 free features including route calculations, vehicle garage, smart search, trip history, fuel cost data, and community routes. All of these are listed in listed on the Pro tab within the app. If you’re having a hard time understanding or it’s confusing to you, please take a look at the “Pro” tab on the “My Drives” page. It explains everything in full detail. Can you share more details on where you are experiencing slowness in the app? We have also received requests to add regular non-enthusiast GPS into the app as the UI feedback has been that good. We are always open to feedback if you can provide some concrete examples. Hope this helps!

Seems cool!!

I haven’t tried a route yet but it seems super cool, I imported one into google maps and it looked like an awesome drive. My only gripes are that 1) It doesn’t make it clear that you can only look at 3 routes per month for free before refusing to import another until you pay for premium and 2) I was unable to add any cars before 1985. Users should have the option to manually add cars!!
