About
The Lutheran Missal and Breviary App
An offline, cross-platform reader for The Lutheran Missal and Breviary — the traditional Western liturgical rite in English, arranged for daily use.
STILL IN BETA STAGE
The full text of every Mass — Ordinary, Propers, Sequences, Collects, Vestment prayers, Occasional prayers — is served from a bundled SQLite database so the app works with no network connection.
Full texts for all 8 offices in the daily office (Matins, Lauds, Prime, Terce, Sext, None, Vespers, Compline).
Highlights
Full liturgical calendar — Advent through Trinity, all Sundays and feasts of the sanctoral cycle, with primary-occasion resolution.
Configurable Propers — toggle Alleluia / Tract (Proper, Ordinary, omitted), Sequences on or off, and rubrical variants.
Sequences — Advent through Septuagesima Eve plus feast-day sequences (Grates nunc omnes, Stabat Mater, Petre Summe, and others), matched automatically to the day.
Rubrics with red text — traditional rubrical highlighting with responsive light/dark/warm/cool themes and high-contrast variants.
Font & type controls — Inter, Lora, EB Garamond, Fraktur, Open Dyslexic, or system UI; several text sizes.
Offline first — the entire missal is bundled as SQLite; no runtime requests.
