TLSB App
This is truly one of the best apps I’ve ever used. The links and ability to traverse through them and back again with memorization, notes, and articles are phenomenal!
Too long to open
The paid app regularly takes between 10-20 minutes to open. While I enjoy the footnotes and commentaries, I find myself oftentimes opening up another ESV Bible app for the sake of convenience.

Currently a 3 star with the potential to be so much more!!!
Currently I’d give this app 3 stars, and for using it on my Mac 2. But this app has the potential to be a five star app. It is crazy the amount of potential this app has if they put a lot of work into it, it could affect the entire denomination. While I do not believe much will happen with it since the LCMS is certainly not tech centered, I can always dream about what this app could be.

Thanks for the feedback! To delete a highlight please select the entire highlighted text, tap to expose the highlight menu, and select the color highlight originally applied (should have a line through the color). If you need any further assistance please contact us at apps@cph.org
Almost 5 stars
I have 2 suggestions. Allow my iPad when not connected to the internet to access the paid features and offer Concordia Commentary Series as an addition cost. Otherwise great app.

Easy to use study bible app
Incredible study bible notes, charts and much more. I have heard many users from other church traditions use this excellent work.

I’ve had the kindle version for a few years but it’s so hard to navigate I don’t use it much. This is SO much easier.
Update 2/25/25: Changed my rating to 5 stars. The fix to the reading plans is very much appreciated! What was previously unusable I will now be taking full advantage of.

Great content, much better UX than an ebook, but…
I’d jump at the chance to pay $100 once and avoid the subscription. The subscription is a deal breaker. It just feels wrong to have an ongoing subscription for a book. Give me a one and done option.

A small flaw
In Psalm 96, the numbers for verses 12 & 13 are not aligned the same as the rest of the verses. My niece was asking about Ps. 96:12 because I was wearing a t-shirt that displays just the verse number and she wanted to know what the verse said. When I pulled it up on my phone, with my old eyes, I missed the verse because the number was not where I expected it to be. Even so, I am so grateful for this app!

It is so wonderful to be able to access all the resources available in the LSB via this app!
Just two quibbles:
The study notes are a bit glitchy, popping up & down & all around, lol!
And, why do we need to save a highlighted verse - couldn’t the highlighting just automatically also save it?

Good for any Christian!
Lutheran or not, the LSB utilizes good scholarship and readability to help anybody grow in their knowledge of the faith
A powerful tool
I’m already glad to use this app! I am excited by how easy it is to read notes, references, and then return to my place in a passage with a simple banner button. That last part is what makes this a great tool for someone diving deeper into scripture.
My only wish would be to have easier to read fonts to select from.

Fantastic but…
Amazing app love it so much. BUT! Please add audio Bible since this also is a subscription. There are many apps that are free and have free audio as well. It would be awesome for such a great app with so much content to also offer audio. Thank you!!

I was a little skeptical at first, but this has proven to be a first rate Bible App. Everything links up perfectly with easy access to any cross references, articles, charts, maps, or commentary that you would find in the print version. The app however makes it more accessible.
This should serve not as a replacement for the TLSB, but is a wonderful supplement.

New Fav Bible App
Most Functional, Easy To Navigate Bible App. It’s well conceived and easy get right to where you wanna go. If you pay for the enhancement material that is a great bonus.
Love this app but totally disappointed
I love this app but I’m totally disappointed that I can use on my iPad or Mac laptop. My iPhone just barely makes it. How about lowering the compatibility?
