Beautiful, educational app
Great and easy to use
It has been super easy in church to look at versus quick once you figure out that I have to do is tap the top of the screen to pull up the list. It is the easiest Bible app to use I have tried.
Great app, but ….
I love this app. I can quickly move between different books and the linked references are a huge bonus. The highlighting needs to be improved. It defaults to the whole verse and won’t allow you to select part of a verse.
1611’s KJV Bible
An online Grace to You, study Bible is certainly a good way to go about reading 1611’s KJV Bible scripture. I realize that this Bible is as close as I will get in reading those old biblical scrolls in Hebrew & Greek. That’s why I read the Old Latin/English Bible. I am truly grateful of how God has provided the many ways through the world’s technology to read & study His Word.

Half of 2 Samuel Chapter 20, Verse 1 is missing in the NASB version.
Great App, has some problems
This is my favorite Bible app for reading, especially due to the continuously scrolling function.
However, when I am scrolling, the app often freezes and then scrolls all the way to the bottom or the top (Revelation 22 or Genesis 1). This makes it difficult to read Scripture without distraction.

Problems lately
Just in the last few weeks I’ve had issues with both the GTY app and now the Study Bible. It no lingers goes to a book or chapter when I click on them. What’s going on? Until now both were wonderful.
DO NOT PURCHASE IN APP! Lost access to in app purchase
purchased in 2020. Log in issues, no support, no way to reset password. The password reset emails never come.
No support
I purchased the notes. Got signed out and tried to sign back but it wouldn’t let me. Then I tried to reset password with the “forgot password” and have not received any emails to change it. And there is no way to contact support for help. So paid for nothing?
Highly recommend
Pro’s: You can easily move through the different verses, which makes it very simple to select a parallel verse on the topic or verse you are studying. Also, the related resources that feature sermons and articles make it best for in depth study.
Con’s: every once in a while the app will freeze for a minute then jump to Genesis 1 or Revelation 22. On occasion the devotionals are not updated to reflect the current day. On the iPhone, it constantly asks me to log in, but it already has my credentials, so I have to hit done before I can begin to research.

Teaching Ministry
For years now, I use my hard copy commentary and when I am on the road, for advanced study and sermon prep, the Grace to you study Bible has always been my #1 tool to use to go deeper in my study is Gods word.
App logs me out daily
Great resource. Love this Bible and the commentary. It logs me out daily though.

Kept logging me out. So finally after so much pain I deleted the app and reinstalled. Now I’m locked out. Lost my paid subscription. Asked for help, no response? Can’t login. Tried to get a new Password, said it would email me. Nothing. Wow, I don’t know what has happened to the apps these past years, but man, hope you guys can fix this. I used it everyday! 😞

Why did you change and and an extra step to have to click through every want to read the Bible? Terrible update in my opinion.
5 stars until today. It's cumbersome to use, now. So disappointed. This is my go to Bible and now the UI is disrupted for my use case
I love John MacArthur's expository preaching/teaching, and this Study Bible is at his usual high standard. It's convenient to have Dr MacArthur's notes for every verse in the Bible with me, on my iPhone and iPad. Grace to You is an excellent source for sound Bible exposition.

Keeps charging for the in app purchase study notes and I can’t cancel it.

A constant reliable reference to God’s word. Easy to take along wherever you go.
