Excellent app!! The best translation with beautiful recitation! Only issue: go back to a previous surah and the audio has to be downloaded all over again! Why? Once downloaded it should always be there. Sometimes one is not in WiFi range to re-download. Cannot randomly listen as have to keep downloading again and again! Please fix this issue.

Love this, tapping is too sensitive
Salaam alaykum,I appreciate this app and use it daily. Only issue I have is if when I am trying to scroll to the next ayah in English the whole English display disappears. I have to go into display and add it back each time. I wish this feature to adjust what is shown on display could only be toggled when you open up the display settings.

Excellent content but app needs work
App needs to be redone professionally utilising the full potential of modern day software techniques, and with modern design considerations. The content is excellent, but the app is glitchy and feels heavy and outdated. This app does not do justice to the wonderful content.
Wonderful!!! Best translation and Wonderful commentary
Alhamdullilah!! I have been waiting for this app!!! Asad's translation is my absolute favorite, and I love the commentary and ease of switching surahs as well as the expansion windows for English translation, Arabic, transliteration, and commentary. The absolute best!!! The hardback version was rather large and cumbersome, but this has everything the physical version does.

Such an excellent tool for those interested in the Qu'r'an
I began with the hardcover copy of this book... it was so very good in English that I learned to read Arabic with the help of the good people that created this wonderful app.
There are many English translations of the Qur'an, some with the true Arabic beside it but, honestly, just as other translations suffer when translated into English, so does the Qur'an - but there exists a book that aids in reading the translation.
I can speak little Arabic. I can write just a bit. But, after 6+ years, I can read and understand maybe 80% of what comes my way. I must turn to guides, commentaries and dictionaries past that stage.
I am not a deist. On Dawkins' 1 to 7 scale I'm right there with his self-professed "6.9." But I'm familiar with the Judeo-Christian holy books and, now, with the holy book of the world's second largest organized religion. I don't believe that, at my age, I will undertake Hinduism, though.
Just as there is some fine literature in the Judeo-Christian holy books, the same can be said of the message of the Qur'an - and within the Qur'an itself.
My copy of this book is tattered with marked up pages falling out and I was ignorant of this app until recently. I'm going to reread the Qur'an again; it seems to be creating quite a stir amongst those who cherry-pick verses, just as those who cherry-pick verses from the Jewish and Christian texts.
I'm not even certain that there are many iPad owners aware of this app. I wasn't. It offers so much more than the actual book!
I can recommend this app to anyone interested in the religion that is so much in the news of late.

Almost perfect!
Very good work! The only complaint I would have is the color of the font. The yellow/orange font color of the active surah on the white background is too difficult to read.
Wonderfully Done
Asad's translation and commentary is the most well researched and well thought out available and this app makes it so conveniently accessible. Everything is included, including the forward and Asad's very helpful appendices. The app can be configured to show the Arabic, the translation, and the commentary together on the screen, just as it appears in the hard copy. The only difference is that this doesn't weigh 6 pounds. Oh, and the app also allows listening to the recitation while the relevant verse, translation, and footnote are automatically scrolled to and highlighted.
One relatively small issue is that the auto scrolling can be a bit frustrating at times. For instance, if you have a verse selected and then try scrolling, you're taken back to the selected verse while you're trying to look at another verse. Or if you're following along with the recitation and come to a verse without a footnote, the footnotes section automatically scrolls to the top.
Overall, though, this is a brilliant app.

Display suggestion
Was looking forward to using this as main Quranic reference based on Lite version but full version interface has changed and is less friendly. Please reduce the size of the banner which takes up screen space, allow more font options, and reinstate + and - controls to toggle translations etc. Thanks
The new interface is even more amazing.
One has to read a just a few pages and the associated footnotes to appreciate the effort poured in by Asad. Simply astounding!!!
Where's the Commentary and Translation?
What happen to the Muhammed Asad translation and commentary, since the update it appears to have vanish?

I love this app and the translation. I carried my iPad on hajj and would read from it all the time.I do lose my place as there is no way to save my page. Sometimes it opens up to where I left off and sometimes not. I have tried using the bookmark feature to mark my place, but then I have to remove it. When I send a bookmark it would be nice if the translation were sent also.

Lock screen?
This app is great, but I really want the ability to lock the screen temporarily because it is very easy to accidentally tap the corner and go to the next or previous surah. When that happens, the place which I was reading before gets lost! That's a big hassle. I would appreciate it if you could either come up with a screen locking mechanism or maybe not losing place if the accidental tapping takes place. Thank you.

Learner not a turner
In my pursuit of better understanding this particular religion I found this a very helpful.
Comparing similarities and the discrepancies between the Koran and the Bible I found the search feature very beneficial.
The introductions were very helpful.
I would like to have been able to search on Sura and Aya without returning to the index and scrolling.
A scrolling feature to the translation and footnotes would also be helpful.
While I do not pretend to understand the language the audio recitations were very enjoyable.
Great App for us Rookies.

Great App
I am delighted that my favorite translation of the Holy Quran is now available on the iPad. It would be great if I were able to increase the font size for easy reading. Thank you and Jazakallahu khairan.
A few missing features and suggestions for improvement
I was very happy to find that my favorite translation was available as an iPad app, especially since my favorite Quran app (iQuranHD) didn't come with this translation. It's beautiful! However I have some suggestions for the developers to add some missing features:
1. In the footnotes, some reference other footnotes, like in the print version. However, there is no link to that footnote so you have to go searching for it and then there's no easy way to get back to where you were. Please add a popup window or link or something to the original footnote and easier navigation.
2. One cannot access the table of contents, appendices and other materials without returning to the contents page - they are not available via the menu at the bottom. Also, once you leave your page there is no back button so you have to manually figure out where you left off.
3. When I found the footnote, there was no way to copy the text to paste into my own note by the cross referenced footnote so I couldn't even make my own popup note.
4. The recitation of Al-Ghamdi is missing!
5. The decorations on the four corners of the screen are beautiful but they take up valuable space and should be removed to leave more room for the content.
6. The beautiful calligraphy and artwork in the print version is missing. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if the interface were more visually appealing. The app needs some color (see iQuranHD).
7. It would have been ideal for me if this translation, footnotes, appendices, etc were available in iQuranHD. That way all my Quran related stuff would be together in one app. Right now I have to switch between them. That being said, if this app matched the abilities and functions of that app, I wouldn't need the other one since this is my preferred translation.

Brilliant app!
This app solves one of my major problems with M. Asad's beautiful and scholarly translation: size. Now I can happily carry it with other study tools and library, all on the iPad. This app also has audio to help recitation and pronunciation. Alhamdulilallah!!!

Great App!
This app was used to enhance the study of Islam in my class. It's amazing to work with, having Arabic, transliteration, English and notes by the great scholar Mohammad Asad. I highly recommend this to Anyone interested in Islam. I even has an audio feature to listen to the Quran in Arabic.
