About

The Mirror is a timer designed to help you train in presence (commonly translated as mindfulness) and awareness, as defined in the Dzogchen tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It is named after Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche's book of the same name. When you start the timer, you'll receive periodic notifications with a quote and sound. Each notification asks whether you've been present or distracted. Based on your honest feedback, the timer adapts: if you've been present, the interval doubles; if distracted, it halves. Intervals range from 5 to 90 minutes with random jitter to stay unpredictable. Features: - Adaptive notification intervals based on your feedback - Two curated quote sets - Choice of meditation bell sounds - Configurable with Do Not Disturb for sleep hours Useful for Dzogchen practitioners, lucid dreamers, and anyone training in a spiritual tradition that requires presence and awareness throughout the day.
