Would be great Face to Face with frenemies.

This was not the easiest game to get into. The new video helps a lot. But once there, it has surprising appeal and some depth. The core of the game is beating monsters, or helping monsters to beat your opponents. There are many things along the way to help, equipment, companions, potions, teleport spells, occupations, and even various races (which oddly can change). You can even keep monsters in your stable (hand) if you need one to fight later on.

The key to this game is building yourself and hand (5 cards) up and then determining the best time to whittle your opponents down. It’s actually a lot of fun and would be great to do with friends.

There are some quirks and things that would make this even better. Knowing how many cards are in your opponents’ hands is an important item that is not shown in the game. You can kinda count but an actual value or graphic would be great. The game is a tad quirky in that the result of a card being played by the opponents is show before the card is actually “played”. That can take some getting used to. You also need to swipe on the board to see the equipment you or others have in play. BE CAREFUL. I accidentally discarded a strong card by hitting it during a swipe.

This is a fun and easy (once you can figure it out) game and deserves consideration.

Great game... AND now has sound effects.

***Update***
SOUND EFFECTS!!! The dev is listening!! Need more than 5 stars!

***Update***
Up to 5 stars from 3. Love this game! Can’t put it down! Bought all the expansions. Still wish for at least sound effects. I can play my own music for background music. Now that I understand the game flow and layout, this is a great game!

***First Review***
I like the game. Sound effects or even just background music would be a suggestion. Otherwise I will continue to give it a chance and see if the developers will continue to add features. I hope so... I see the potential of not just a good game, but a great game!

Munchkin Clone

This game copies the mechanics of Munchkin. However, seeing how there’s no actual Munchkin game on the App Store, I added a star because there should be one.

As to the game itself, the presentation could be better. It’s a little confusing when it’s not your turn, as the AI boxes only get slightly grayer. Using text like the “AI Wins/Loses” pop-ups to announce the start of turns would go a long way, as well as a border on the player/AI boxes.

The turn timer has no label so it’s confusing until you get the hang of it.

I understand why it’s not there, but the negotiation aspect of Munchkin went a long way to add to the variety. If there was a way to add that it would be awesome.

Good game, but one annoyance.

While the game is good, very much like Munchkin with a few differences, there is one thing that I wish would change. T’s look like + signs. This is very annoying. I understand that it’s artistic, but it just doesn’t go well in this game, especially when the cards consist of numbers and letters.

Strategy, Cards, Monsters, and Mermaids

Need I say more?! If you love a good card game and have been looking for something different, you can’t go wrong with this!

Enjoy the pace, AI, and graphics. Looking forward to future updates, expansions and enhancements. Great game!
