App update

I’m going to give this app a try to see if it formats better than trying to read the e-edition in a browser. However, I sure don’t understand how it rates out at 4.7 with so many bad reviews. I counted and out of 33 total reviews, it received 51 stars. That works out to a rating of about 1.5. I’m adding to that by giving it 3 stars to be fair since I have used it yet. I have an e-edition subscription and I will update this review to reflect if it’s actually helpful or not worth much. I will give it a decent test period.

Terrible
Glad I only paid $1 for this and I won’t renew when it expires. Compared to the Chronicle-Telegram it may just get off zero. Unable to view just pages like reading a regular newspaper.
Have 4 months to maybe reset the way it is supposed to work but yet to see who to contact for help.

Where is the local news?
Hear of things going on in Lorain and never see a word of it in the Journal. Then go to the Elyria paper or even Facebook to see the details. Newspaper and app are virtually worthless

It’s easy to navigate and read but not all the sections are available.
No updated news
I want up to date news not news from 3 days ago, I can get that from social media.

Nothing like the old app. I loved keeping up with the MJ from our new home in S C but apparently I need a subscription for that. Looking at the actual paper was great and nostalgic. Now I bypass the MJ app on my iPad. Not worth the effort.
Worst Newspaper of the 5 I have on my iPad and MacBook
This is the only app that does not reflect the actual published newspaper. It keeps telling me I have reached my free read limit and wants me to subscribe..I have been a subscriber for three years. It usually takes a minimum of three login attempts to get access. My advice is forget this application of a news paper..Frustrating because the do good reporting.

App Crashes
Constantly crashing on both iPhone & iPad. Had to uninstall.

It's nice to have a local paper with an ap.the down sides of it are the articles don't get updated very often and a lot of time when you try to read an article only the headline shows.

As bad as the online version.
I knew the MJ didn't have it in them to develop a quality app. With their inability to allow readers to access the full online version on smartphones they have taken it a step further down the road to mediocrity with this worthless app. Not worth the memory space on my phone.

No stories
Lately Since the last update all im getting is the titles of the articles and no story to follow! Very disappointed seeing how this was the only way i get to read the paper!

This Journal mobile application needs to be improved. The news from 13 days ago should not be there. Recent news should be.
