DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO BAD?

Deeply disappointed in this app. Love Motley Fool in general but this app stinks. I was trying to add a stock to my portfolio through the app but could not make it happen. Online instructions via Google were simply wrong (which is true for 98% of queries regarding apps). The app is so bad that I think it’s a negative mark for the company. They need to do better. There is no excuse for a sucky app in 2026. Shame.

Does not work for premium subscribers in Canada

BEWARE!

This app automatic renews at $200! You cannot end your subscription using the app, you have to go to their website. When you finally do find where you can cancel period under layers of links and after they try to prevent you from canceling, by using nearly 10 attempts to prevent you, finally you can cancel. I should have read the reviews, Stay Away!

Should not be available on CA appstore

In March 2026, this app listing does not make clear that Motley Fool Canada accounts are not supported, first indication is after installing and entering login email. Please remove from Canadian appstore, or support your Canadian users properly.

Bare minimum & Clunky

I love Motley Fool… don’t love their app. The app is basically a concession, like they have to have one because it’s the 21st century and everyone has one, but it’s bare minimum and clunky. There’s little effort to move subscription services to the app, or to be able to add stock purchases to your portfolio. The app is essentially a newsfeed.

I do like that you can access the Fool podcasts in one, easy to find place. But the embedded player isnt user friendly and lacks basic controls.

So, it’s convenient to access Motley Fool article for stocks you follow, but not much else.

Getting rich isn’t that hard.

You don’t have to be a professional investor to secure your future or even get rich. You just need the right guidance. The Motley Fool has the tools to learn how it all works, or you can just invest in their stock recommendations. Either way, you’ll make more than the average market growth. I’ve been using their service for years.

Awful App

This app is flaming hot garbage. So hard to use. Hard to navigate. The info is good, but dang, this app is an easy 15 years behind in interface and technology. Going to stick with the website.

Need a Working Canadian version

We see that there has been no working version of this app to connect from Canada, so the least you could do from the Apple App Store is to warn clearly to not waste our time trying to login

False advertisers

I’ve used these guys over the years and I now realize i was duped by their completely ridiculous advertisements. They love to talk about all the companies they predicted would succeed with no mentions of the numerous dogs. They are true to their name though- total fools.

UR CHANGES IN APP

Very frustrating to have this info at my fingertips only not to be able to open/read I am paying for services that I can’t use.Needs fixed asap.

Great at stock advice, terrible at app design and development.

Please get another company to redesign this app so that it useful rather than aggravating.

Content Great, Delivery Awful

The content in the app is amazing but the app itself is very frustrating. Nothing is intuitive. Links are always wrong. Content is difficult to find. I wish I had something better to say.

Recommendations often don’t show anything

Under Stock Advisor -> Stock -> Recs. Click on “Read” against a recommendation. Often nothing shows up when accessing this from phone. Very inconsistent app.

Performance Issues

Most articles do not open in app. I just signed up recently and so far I’m really unimpressed with the app experience. I hope they are placing priority on getting it right!

Great resources, poorly made and optimized app.

This is a great community and a great resource to have but the app is very poorly made, crashes frequently or doesn’t show content when opening links or stocks, should use some of those Nvidia returns into investing on having a good working app for your clients, this has made me reconsider my membership, as I can’t access to all the content I want due to this app.
