Qr scan broken

The main function of this app does not work. If you click scan QR code, the app crashes.

PRIVACY ISSUES

BEWARE OF USING THIS APP! IT DOESNT LET U DELETE YOUR INFORMATION AND DOESNT PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY. I found out of this app because the boba shop I went had the QR code for this app and I ended up creating the acc to “save money from discounts”. After creating my acc, the boba shop told me its not related to their business and I ended up not getting any discounts. I decided to delete the account but it says I have to go through support like who does that? Most apps respect your decision of deleting an acc for your privacy but this DOES NOT! I am waiting for support to reply on my request to delete my account and nobody has reached out to me for 3 days now! To make things worse, the app tells you which school you go to and doesn’t give u the option to make it private. Literally, it only risks your personal information to be shared publicly!

Very hard to delete my account!

I tried the app out, it was pretty cool but they make it extremely difficult to delete the app!

Movement app

I love this concept. The profits should go to the users, instead of being used just to create another gazillionaire founder. Bravo! Keep up the good work!

Horrible Scam

Refuses to delete your account and posts for you under your name. College students do not fall for this trap.

Scam

I hate to be an internet complainer but this app and its owner are not on the up and up. I bought into the program as a territory owner only to be kicked out of the program due to not being able to sell enough advertising for the app. Advertising that did not exist and still doesn’t. Mike the app owner called me personally and blamed everyone else but himself and told me he’d personally coach me. I asked for a refund of investment which was never given. Honestly, I believe this app to be a scam and there have been a lot of people that have been taken by it.

Like the mob, once you’re in you can’t get out. False posts under your name.

I checked out this social network years ago - it wasn’t for me - and can’t get my account deleted or deactivated.

False posts keep showing up under my account that I’m not posting. I can’t stop it and there is NO WAY to cancel or delete your own account.

It has to go through support.

Emails to support bounce.

When I did get a hold of someone they said it would be taken care of. It has been 5 days and I’m still getting comments on a post under my account that someone else posted - I deleted - and yes, I’m still receiving comments on something that should not even be there AND was deleted 5 days ago.

I am not a fan of anybody impersonating me or acting on my behalf.

SCAMM

This app does not let you delete your account and messages between anyone on this app does not work. Sketchy and annoying. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

Finally A Social Network that helps instead of hurts

Amazing social networking app with a lot of different ways to interact with other users without the negative garbage found on other social networking platforms. Plus the discounts on food and other places around campus help me keep my budget balanced even when I travel to visit my friends on other campuses. The added discount dollars just for signing up is a great perk too! 💯 Recommend for all college students

Along for the journey

Great beta app. Excited for some of the things they'll have in the future. Especially the official launch this fall.

BEST STUDENT DISCOUNT APP

THIS APP HELP ME AND MY FRIENDS GET 15-25% OFF ON FOOD AROUND OUR CAMPUS

01/06/24

App does not work. You put credit card number in and then nothing happens.

App doesn’t open

As of 1/4/23 App is non-functional

Amazing Discountd

Students love the merchant discounts and the app is very easy to use!

Potential is There

The Movement Social has excellent potential to help its users save money through trade and work to earn money by serving others.

Currently, the app is rudimentary. However, it is likely to be a social network that someone could feel good about using.

I am looking forward to using it more as it adds additional features.

Simple and Easy to Use

Very clean, easy to learn and navigate with transactions. Not a big learning curve like other apps.

Could Change Local Businesses

I saw the other reviews, and I understand the skepticism. All hierarchical structures are triangular, so the idea of a pyramid is easy to see in any organization (start with a President, then a few VP’s, then more Directors, lots of middle management, etc., always a triangle).

However, this is attempting to start an economy that pulls away from larger organizations. The idea is to work with local businesses and college populations to encourage interactions with each other, creating a space where the local community is economically tied together more closely than it was.

Personally, I love the idea they are promoting. If it becomes large enough, local economies will become stronger. Maybe that is too idealistic for some, but the theory isn’t crazy. We need something that ties local communities together instead of just having Target, Amazon, chain after chain restaurants repeated in every town.

This is an idea to do that. Will take a leap of faith to begin, but since it works with local, real businesses and NOT selling products from one person to the level below, it is not multi-level marketing. It is B2B and B2C plus delivery services, renting services, and more.

Can that lead to helping climate change? Sure, to a degree. Localizing business success can help, though I can again understand the skepticism with that message. For me, what I think is exciting is trying to help local businesses which should, hopefully, create unique economies across the world that we are in danger of losing to chains and larger corporations.

So, if you don’t like the idea now, I don’t blame anyone, but I think the idea is fantastic and hope it becomes very successful! I remember wanting to buy Bitcoin until I realized it cost $100 for one coin… I wasn’t ready to take that leap, but I view The Movement to have similar potential and hope it can help improve income inequality, which is the biggest part of their mission statement.

SCCCCCAAAAAMMMMM!!!!!!!!

It’s a MLM in a app design. Same as the other review, was messaged by a LinkedIn profile. Unfortunately I think that person is real though and has fallen victim to this scam themselves. Shame. College students beware!

Catphishing MLM Scam

I was messaged by a LinkedIn profile that was a duplicate of someone else on LinkedIn and asked to join this company. Their business model makes no sense (spend money at McDonald’s to save the planet from climate change? That is not how that works) and that’s how you know it’s a scam. Don’t trust anyone who gives you money for “free,” they’re laundering and going to screw you over. Don’t trust any messages you receive on other platforms without verifying the sender. Be careful out there, kids.
