Great news coverage every single day!

I am a 6-month annual snowbird in Estero. I continue to receive the paper digitally when I am home in Cleveland. When in the area, I enjoy receiving & reading the actual paper. Great stories—nice blend of news, politics, wellness & culture. And Dear Abby & Carolyn, plus comics.

Traveling

Being able to get the home news is wonderful.

New Press Online

After 12 years of the home delivery of the News Press the cost just got out of hand and I switched to the online version. The price certainly is much better! It is convenient to sit in my recliner with my iPad and read the news, thou I do miss holding the paper version. Most of the time the interface works well. Sometimes I am unable to scroll through an entire article once chosen, so I have to manually enlarge the print so I can read the rest. I don’t know why this happens. One of the reasons I stayed so long with the paper delivery is the daily puzzles. Now I have to print them out each day. Even though there is a cost of ink and paper it’s still less than the daily delivery price of the paper. I recommend the online version to those thinking of cutting their monthly cost of home delivery.

Fort Myers News-Press

As a subscriber who lives out of state I enjoy the New-Press as it reports the current news now rather than “yesterdays news tomorrow.”

Love getting the News-Press on line!

I love that I can access the online version of the News-Press from my old iPad from anywhere with wi-fi. But don’t abandon the paper option which has its advantages, especially on weekends with multiple readers at home.
My only criticism is that the paper’s dominant focus has become Naples. As a Lee County resident for over 40 years I have little interest in Collier County news. Have you ever considered two separate editions?

No star

The iPad app is worthless! All I get is a "Token authentication error" message. Repeated calls to customer service offers no advice or fix. The app does work well on my iPhone!

Like news, need better app

This is a morning staple. The app is not always available.

Review

I enjoy the articles, they keep me up to date on events that effect me and my family and community.

Online news

We are out of town and it is so good to have access to local news and updates on hurricane recovery status!

I like the app on my phone, but it doesn't work on my IPad where I want to read the paper. I have to get it through Google.
Not always successful.

Issue with News Press E-edition

Been a long time customer and the E-Edition app is having issues today (9-16-22) along with occasional connection issues.

Convenience

I was a newspaper guy for many years and thought I would miss the “feel” of the paper. Not so, the ability to read the paper most anywhere trumps the “feel”.

My wife and I have enjoyed the News Press both in print and e version for the last five years. However, we will be dropping our subscription for the following reasons:
1. Home delivery has been sporadic in 2022 after never missing a day for two years of Covid shut down.
2. The Gannett/ USA Today liberal perversion has saturated ever inch of what was a great moderately conservative newspaper.
3. The final blow is the upcoming arbitrary decision to change the puzzles. We are especially upset with the discontinuation
Of the five in one Sudoku.
We are transplants from a community that had a top 10 Pulitzer award winning newspaper bought by Gannett and today that newspaper is all buddy gone. These people and their decisions are toxic and reflect they care nothing about your community

Great news app for local news and beyond

I love this app for many reasons. I am not a fan of watching news on the TV. My interest vary and I can zoom in to read what is important to me, whether local, national, or world news, sports, business, and entertainment. They’re provided each day plus bonus news and features.

Fort Meyers

Wonderful newspaper

OK, could be much better

Sport scores and a lot of news are not available until two days after events. Some pages come in “blurry”, cannot read those. Wrote the paper with these issues, but no response. Compared to other electronic newspapers, this one is too expensive.

A Great Way To Start The Morning!

I have been enjoying The News Press for about 35 years.
This e-paper is fast and environment friendly.
Thanks for offering this!
