Quit Working!

This *was* a really useful app - but it’s totally quit updating! The last obituary it is showing was posted on 3/15/26 - and today is 5/5/26. Is this going to be updated?

App not working

App not allowing me to enter anything can’t even contact you on the app

Signing Up

The “city” field is not interactive. Therefore, the app is not allowing me to sign up.
When I clicked on support or website, it took me back to sign up.

Useless

This is not a place to find obituaries from a couple years ago which is what I was looking for. All of the searches on the web what to tell you their entire life story and charge you for it. If I can get my money back for a 1 year subscription I would appreciate it.

Thank you Obituary App

I am grateful to have all of my local obituaries in one place. The Memory Wall has been a blessing for me to go back an visit often.

FAQ

What does The Obituary App do?

The Obituary App collects obituaries from funeral homes across America and organizes them by city. This allows users to view all obituaries from multiple funeral homes in one convenient location for specific cities they follow.

How can I find obituaries for a specific city?

You can add cities to either the 'Focused' or 'Relevant' feed within the 'Manage Cities' section. The 'Focused' feed shows obituaries from funeral homes in that city, while the 'Relevant' feed includes obituaries that mention the city in any context.

Is The Obituary App free to use?

The app is free to download and use, offering access to obituaries and community features. There are in-app purchases available, which may enhance certain functionalities or offer additional services.

What features are available on an obituary card?

Each obituary card displays the decedent's name, photo, and age (if available), along with the city of death. Users can also express condolences, send flowers, view the full obituary, share it, save it to a personal memory wall, indicate attendance at services, or report misinformation.

Can I interact with obituaries or contribute to them?

Yes, users can claim an obituary to become its administrator. As an administrator, you can allow other users to make comments or share photos related to the obituary, and you have control over approving or rejecting these submissions.
