Lacking functionality
Requires manual score refreshing. Can’t see how long has been played in quarter.

Not sure the point of the app if every link you click on takes you to the website?

Shocking app. The bones of a good one are there but it never updates properly in real time, it’s a constant process of close / reopen. Even then you suddenly find yourself in a different round to the one you actually want

Decent app but listening to games is broken
I’ve used the app for years. For a state league, it’s really very decent. Live stats and ladder, quick loading, updates to fixtures when needed, news, videos etc are great.
A big caveat that has never been a problem before renders my weekend use case, well, useless. Throughout 2022 I’ve had at least two or three of the games I can’t get to have zero ability to livestream the audio commentary for the entire game. Restarting the app, the phone, closing all other apps down does nothing. There’s no audio commentary on the SANFL Now app, which is a big oversight, so I can’t even check there. Can this be fixed or remedied ASAP? I even asked on the SANFL FB page about this but did not receive a reply…

Useless for Apple TV box
While the app works reasonably well for the iPhone and the iPad, it is useless to use with the Apple TV box. After three rounds I have not been able to watch one game through the app for Apple TV, despite the app telling me I am subscribed for the 2021 season. Whilst you can stream from your iPhone/iPad to your Apple TV box it’s very unstable, it is more stable if you connect through a web browser.
I’m not sure what changes were made to “improve” the app from the previous version but is worse than ever. Last years version of the app was a lot more reliable.
Unless there are some serious improvements to the app over the remaining season, I’ll be thinking twice about renewing for next season.
One more gripe, if we pay for the subscription why are we being subjected to advertisements after every goal?

Good but needs fixing
The app is good but sometimes a bit slow to update the scores. Biggest problem for me would be that when you are listening to the game, it keeps stopping. Unsure why??
Not bad, but could be better
The app works alright. Pretty standard design and content. Wish it had a ‘hide scores’ function so I don’t know the outcome before I watch the game on the app.

This app works on phone but not on the IPad - I see reviews on this from months ago. Amateurish that this hasn’t been fixed.

Hi Sly246, a couple of things to help out here. Please ensure you have the Official SANFL App installed and not the previously available iPad App. Also, Apple requires all Apps to be built on a minimum specification requiring iOS version 12.1 or higher to be installed. Hope this information helps.
Will not Open Open
Works on my iPhone but shows a black screen on my iPad which operates on the same software version 12.2. Please fix this problem it is highly frustrating.
