Othello

Not for me unless it does landscape mode

Ads ads ads!!

There’s an ad after every single game

Spyware app!!!

It’s a spyware app!

There was a Harris ad

I deleted this dumb app because there was an ad from the libtard kamila harris. I won’t download or use any of these apps! If you don’t vote for President Trump you’re anti American!

This is the app for you if you enjoy watching adds

The game itself is good but you have to watch a stupid add after each game and there is no way of skipping it, stopping it and otherwise bypass it. Not for me. I played 2 game and I deleted the app

Hide Menu Bar?

Would be nice to be able to hide the menu bar while playing. Would also nice to be able to start a new game with a single tap.

Only one complaint….

I have to touch the screen 3 times to start a new game. Surely just a “new game” button is in order.

More ads now

It’s a great game. But all of a sudden after a couple of years there are really intrusive ads that you can’t silence. If I can’t silence them, I won’t play it

Good game but…

So i think that this is a good game but it has one flaw and that is the passes me and my dad both got mad at it so please take it out.

Not terrible, until ...

... thanks until the ads covered up the menu bar, making it impossible to play the game. I deleted the ad and had to play the usual Google Ads game (“Why did you delete it?” “Why don’t you want to see the ad again?”). They gave me an option, “Ad covered content,” which I selected—but it was all in the game. Google very politely said, “We won’t show that ad again” and replaced it with a Google Ads logo that—guess what—covered the menu bar.
I don’t know if this problem is the fault of the game makers or Google, but as it comes down to my relationship to the game, it’s all the same. Bye.

Needs Online play

Computer play is ok, but I prefer live, rated competition.

Uncanny!!!

Sometimes it feels as though there is a clever human playing me!! Brilliant. Thanks

Love this game but

I have to give it 2 stars for one reason. I understand ads. But when the ad won’t end and takes you away from the game to the App Store EVERY time it runs.... you loose. Very close to dumping the game because of it.

Great game. Awful interface

Not much more to add.
Oh. There's an Ad after EVERY game

Actually Challenging

First Othello game I found where the hardest difficulty level isn’t a doddle to beat. My skill level is currently level 17. So this is a very challenging game. Nice graphics and decent sound. Computer is quick to make its move.

Only things which would make it perfect for me is a stats screen which keeps win/lose/draw records on each level which would be very useful so to know our ability and progression. Also possibly online play against other players, although that one isn’t as important. Otherwise great, and already worth the small one-off fee for the ad-free version.

Its started cheating

Something just changed end April-early May 2020.
Going faster to hide how it suddenly changes counters, more intrusive adverts, and it definitely cheats now.

Actually challenging

I’m pretty good at Othello and I’ve been searching for a good app to practice. But all of them have been too easy. This is the only one that has a challenge and it’s a real challenge too. So bravo

Needs to play in landscape mode

No use for me as it doesn’t play in landscape mode.

Othello

Hello,
I’m sure it is a wonderful game. It looks great! What are the rules? How do you play it?

Thanks,
Eileen 26

Game? Great! Header? Bad!

Since you can’t rotate screen, the area where you touch the option icons is too small. I have to aim very carefully if I want to get a new game started. Sometimes, (usually), it takes a couple of touches for the new game button to stop lighting up, then dimming without starting the next game. Other than that, the game offers a lot of skill levels, & realistic graphics. Fun to learn. Harder to master!
