Chefs kiss and a half šŸ¤ŒšŸ»

Other than some lag on the 4th valley (most likely due to sheer size, it is huge!) the game was so good it was almost impossible to put down. Each step along the way the puzzles get a step harder, keeping it fresh and new. I spent 10 hours on my first play though making sure to get everything. This game plays so well compared to other mobile games, the movement is clean and swift, and makes you feel as if you are actually flying. Each boss has its own unique personality and fighting style, that you begin to understand, each difficult in its own way. The game rewards exploring and engaging in the environment, while giving breathtaking landscapes to get lost in. Without spoiling too much, the ending is well worth the time and effort. It feels similar to a dark souls fight with multiple attack patterns thrown at you all at once in order for you to figure out. All and all this is one of the best mobile games I have ever touched to this day, shout-out to everyone involved in making this true masterpiece!! I also can see speed run potential as there are a lot of skips possible if you’re into that sorta thing. This is a game to show off 11/10!

It’s great but needs an intro to where the characters are from

It a good game and I love the graphics but the intro is just the main character is sailing to this area. Where is the person from and how old is he/she/they, and why did he decide to defeated the Godslayer you know? How did the Godslayer come to be. Also it feels really lonely because all of the people are dead. It also needs a longer ending to the game like for example you can make it so the main character can be respected by the people if they weren’t all dead. But other than that it’s a really good gamešŸ¦…šŸ‘ŒšŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ˜ƒšŸ˜ƒšŸ˜Š

The Funless

You start the game and are doing great! You beat the first boss and get some extra lightstones put them in the stone anticipate the reward but get nothing. You look it up and figure out that you need to get a ton more of them. You decide to go to the other areas and then come back to it later. Start getting discouraged by the second boss. After 6 hours and 13 walkthroughs you finally win. The you reach nimue. You spend weeks on it then decide to delete the app and reinstall it again after a year of not thinking about it. When you reinstall it you finally beat it. When you get to the bear you beat it pretty fast and you get sense of great accomplishment. You finally reach the godslayer. You keep trying for weeks to get past the eagle, get the bow and think it’s over. Then you realize you still have to beat the godslayer. After months of trying you beat him only to see a cutscene and the credits. You regain control of your character right in front of the place where you go to fight the godslayer and then you renter the place where you fought him out of your curiosity then find the exact same thing as the last time. You’re completely drained of your happiness and pride. In your sadness you return to the comfort of your creative mode world in Minecraft where the pathless can never hurt you again.

Fun and Frustrating

A beautiful environment that invites exploration. Tedious at times in that you are doing the same thing over and over, in slightly different situations. Some of the puzzles are simple, others a challenge, and some I never did figure out. There are a series of BOSS matches, each absurdly frustrating. What you are expected to do is not at all obvious. Once you do figure it out, your best efforts are still not good enough. You will repeatedly be wiped off the playing field. Recovery time, to get back into the match, is WAY WAY WAY too long. I thouroughly enjoyed playing the game, and recommend it, all except the fight matches. Humerously, the final BIG BOSS match is the easiest to figure out and endure! Sort of backwards.

Amazing Game!

This game made me fall in love with all that Apple Arcade has to offer! Ain’t favorite game the iPhone has to date in my opinion! Every aspect of this game is what an arcade style adventure game is about. Subtle yet complex landscapes and scenarios. Can play at a very slow pace or fast pace if you’d like. Multiple areas to complete the puzzling situations you can find yourself in without the feeling of being stuck with plenty of game left to play. Absolutely amazing game. Developers deserve high praise! The lofi music and sounds added really helped when I needed to escape from any worldly stresses and relax especially with my high anxiety and depression. A very comfortable game to come to to feel calm.

Fantastic!

This is one of my favorite games ever. The graphics are top notch, it’s great fun, and the story is unique and compelling. If you enjoy puzzles and exploring, you’ll love this game. Hint: if you get stuck, move on and come back later. šŸ˜‰ It’s a bit glitchy at times, and I became quite frustrated when the game kept crashing during a particularly challenging boss battle, but I’m still giving it 5 stars. This game has an emotional component with the eagle companion that really enhances the overall tone of the game, as evil has seemingly conquered the world. You get to be the warrior who cleanses the land of that evil. The stuff you can do with your eagle is pretty cool, too! Each level up increases the challenges of puzzles, and increases your bond with your eagle companion. I would highly recommend this game! It is truly fantastic! The only thing I’d change is a longer story / more levels! Hats off to the creators & developers! šŸŒŸšŸ™Œ

Attention developers! Please read!

Ok, to start things off, I AM THIS GAMES BIGGEST FAN.
Currently I am on the mountain tundra level and I have one complaint about it, when u first see the mountain tundra, it is EXTREMELY DEPRESSING. That place is GIANT.
BIG QUESTION: (on my tv) so after I defeated the snake level, I was heading towards the shoot that brings me to mountain tundra and I noticed a wolf was following me. ? Much! The animals always run away, this wolf followed me when ever I stopped he stopped and just looked at me. I think it’s fur was black but I can’t quit remember. Whaaaat was up with that?? Then later when I downloaded the Pathless onto my phone and I got to that point, no wolf. Am I missing something?????????
So a few requests…
The game would be soooo much better if there was an option to get hints on what to do, I got sooooo confused at the point where u learn how to fly. I could not figure it out for ages.
One more thing,

PLEASE MORE ANIMALS!!!
And can the animals PLEASE NOT RUN AWAY WHEN U GET CLOSE!!!!!

P.s. I don’t think the monsters are hard enough to defeat! More please!!!

P.p.s. Why is the hunter’s clothes red if red is the bad guy color??? MAKE THEM BLUEEEE!

THATS ALL! Thanks for ur time! :P

MUST PLAY SUPER ADDICTING!!

When I started this game it was a little boring but it very very quickly got fun. I beat the whole game in a month and got the secret scene too. The game is really fun to play and gets really fun flying and unlocking new things. The graphics is really nice and the game is just too much addicting!

I’m playing this on an iPhone 11 Pro and this game is meant for PS4/5 so of course your phone is going to heat up and you might need to pause it and let your phone cool down for a minute to not make the app crash(this happens rarely).

Nimue was hard but the game is beautiful

I love this game, it’s beautiful and Nimue was very hard you just had to run around and not get caught. It was easier on a iPad than on my PS4. This game is so unique and I’m still playing through it, I’m on the last son the one that I think is a bear.

On my PS4 it kept overheating and would boot me out of my game every once and while but it will ALWAYS save your progress to the closest point it can. Which is honestly 🄰. And developers, don’t let the 1 star or 2 star reviews get to you, you made a beautiful game.

The game doesn’t have any in game pay for things, and this game is really just a giant puzzle with boss battles before you go onto the next boss battle. It’s beautiful and fun sadly I am getting close to finishing it. I love this game and I want a second personally. I would love to see the rest of this world that the devs have made.

The eagle is amazing and running around and shooting the talismans is so fun and then sprinting and you just keep on shooting them, I saw this game played by a YouTuber (I don’t remember the name, sorry) but I instantly fell in love with the graphics.

The parts where the eagle is in it is beautiful. And, SPOILERS!! When the godslayer took one of the wings I actually thought the bird FREAKING DIED and I was like šŸ‘šŸ‘„šŸ‘

Spoilers over

Please people, play this game if you like puzzles and boss battles. Also if you like eagles.

Phenomenal

I found the Pathless while wandering the App Store, and I sure am happy I did find it. This game is incredible, with exhilarating boss fights and clever puzzles. There is not a whole lot of mandatory dialogue, so at first it seems to lack story. But the world around you tells the story. Spirits who’s whispers can still be heard and mysterious tablets engraved with writing tell the story of the Godslayer (Main Boss), The Tall Ones (Corrupted Spirits), and what happened before the events of the game. Ruins scatter the landscape, hinting towards the fury of the corrupt Tall Ones. Overall, I love this game, from the tutorial to its bittersweet ending. It truly is an adventure you won’t regret…or forget.

Great but crashes

I love this game. It’s very fun to play and I enjoy the storyline. My only complaint is that EVERY time you play a boss, the game suddenly crashes and you have to start the chase from the beginning. You have to pause the game, turn your screen off, and then let the phone completely cool down before playing again and you have to repeat this every 30 seconds or so. I feel like I’ve spent a lot more time waiting to be able to beat the bosses than I have anything else in the game. I’m on who I think is the last spirit, but I hope this issue gets fixed ASAP.

Beautifully painful

I love your game. Seriously, I downloaded this game and as many have said before, games tend to bore me after a week or two of playing. This game on the other hand captures my ADHD mind. HOWEVER, I just got a brand new iPhone 13 and I know it’s not the 13 pro BUT, it should not be crashing how it does. In the middle of countless boss battles(including the one that just prompted me to write this) the game just completely closes and I have to restart the battle. Pretty painful considering that I was over half way done!! But, I really do enjoy your game, and I would really appreciate some future updates that fix these issues.

Amazing Game 10/10

There’s this looming cloud in the distance that foreshadows that this game has an end. And I hate it. This game is out of this world. It’s crashed on me only once, and when I opened it back up it brought be back exactly where I left off. I’ve been playing on my backbone controller, and it feels and plays better than most of the console games! It pushed Apple’s hardware during some of the boss fights- but that’s to be expected with a game as pretty as this one. Perfect balance in my opinion of insane graphics, and animations that can still be ran on a phone (pro model or not). 10/10

Beautiful game

I’ve been obsessed with this game for a few weeks now and just finished it. Some of the puzzles and boss fights can get kind of challenging but overall this was a great game and I grew to really like the eagle companion. There are great graphics and good character development. I do, however, wish there was a longer introduction in the beginning to make the game’s premise more clear as it did get confusing who the tall ones were and who the pathfinders were when reading spirits’ ā€œlast wordsā€ bubbles. I also had some difficulty keeping track of the different names for the spirits (of the tall ones). I felt like more clarity on this at the start of the game would help the storyline feel more meaningful and add more conviction to the main character’s purpose in the game. It would also be helpful if it were clearer which puzzles to complete first, as they do seem to get gradually more difficult and lead you (spatially) to the next level/area of the game. All the other pieces to help the story along were there though. All in all, this was a well-made game and I’m interested to see what else this developer makes next.

This game is honestly one of my favorites ever, but it is damaging iPhones!

Everyone involved in the development of this work of art, I salute you as it truly is an incredible experience. But I’m somewhat concerned with the ethics of porting this to iOS given that it causes overheating issues on my brand new iPhone 13 Pro, which should be about as state of the art as you can get in terms of mobile game hardware. And excessive heat is one of the main killlers to battery longevity. I understand it is a resource intensive game but I have to stop playing it as I don’t want to damage my phone :( I have even tried clearing out all background applications and turning on airplane mode, while helped a little but it was minor. I’m not sure what can be done to amend this, but i would gladly accept a graphics hit or shorter visual distances if it meant running at safer temperatures. Just my thoughts. Maybe even just a warning included to let players know it’s a possibility that it may cause damage or to avoid playing for too long.

All that being said, I am inspired to purchase this game on something with more processing power like on my computer or on a console so that I can still enjoy the game!

Crashes

Game constantly crashes towards the final boss it seems like the platforms in which is intended to play on can’t keep up with all the moving parts that it automatically crashes no matter where I play iPhone,iPad Pro and Apple TV I can’t even finish the game because where it ends up crashing there’s no manual save option so I have to rely on it automatically saving when it doesn’t no matter what stage I am in during the fight when it crashes I have to start the Bossfight from the beginning which is very annoying Plus the controller doesn’t seem to register which button I press which is a constant lag please fix

Giant Squid makes great games

The Pathless is fantastic. Beautifully animated, fun to play, and a fully realized world with just the right balance of backstory and mystery. Probably the best game on Apple Arcade. The only drawback is it might be too much game for a phone—I have a 12 Pro, and it still gets laggy at times, which isn’t a big deal for most of the exploration and puzzles, but a couple of the boss fights took more tries than they should have because I couldn’t see or react in time. If I had it to do over, I’d buy the console version, but definitely a top tier game.

Never judge a game by first gameplay

When I first got the game I was completely lost and I got stuck in like one minute, but then i restarted the game and I LOVE IT. Okay so yea the game is quite tricky cause your given no instructions but as you go on in the game you realize that’s the best part having to try again and again just to get it right is so satisfying and as you go on you soon realize that the dead people and the temples are actually telling the story but it’s all about how u interpret them, that’s how you move forward. My favorite part is when I had to beat the ā€œfinal bossā€ (if only) just for it to be more adventures right after that is making me giddy. I wish I could play this on a controller tho, it would make it 10x better.

Best game in Apple Arcade

This game was really fun. It is challenging. I played on iPad and never had graphical issues. The controls were tough to get a hold of at first, but eventually it because easier. It was fun, beautiful, and good gameplay.

Apple Arcade - please invest in getting more games like this one. Stop investing in simple games that I could play without Apple Arcade - please invest in richer games that actually make it worthwhile to pay the subscription, like this game. Thanks team for building this game dev team, and excited for what’s next.

Amazing (few bugs to patch up here and there )

When this game was first announced back in 2020 PlayStation 5 Event , I didn’t expect to come on the Apple Arcade as well. Want to clear this out but there are times when the game either freezes up or chunks aren’t loading. And the performance was somewhat :/ wish there was a graphics option as that would’ve been nice to adjust to your device so it doesn’t hamper your devices usage

Now that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the game itself: WOW, the world and the lore, how huge and freeform the land is when you traverse from one point to the other , its flawlessly fast and the gameplay is simple to work with. Sure it would’ve been nice for something else but the bow itself is good enough.

If you have played any other Annapunra Interactive games (Journey and Abzu) you’ll enjoy this. Hope this game comes to the App Store to support the indie dev :)
