This app is well thought out. Be sure to delve a bit as it can be overwhelming. Once you have a handle on its mechanics you will find this tool essential for prepping your landscape outings. Take the guesswork out of which lenses and bodies to take on your next trek.

Longer zoom choices please
I’m shooting a 600mm with a 2x teleconverter. So that’s 1200mm but the app only lets you choose 800mm max.
Updates to 5 stars. I didn’t realize there was a teleconverter button. Could be just me, but maybe it could be a little more apparent how to add it? For the less observant of us ;)

Hi - the app already supports selecting teleconverters to achieve what you need. Just tap the teleconverter icon and choose between None, ×1.4, ×1.7, ×2 or ×3.
Not immediately intuitive, but unique and useful
Originally had a problem getting it to start - reboot your phone if this happens.
Mindblowingly useful.
Crookneck always has my jaw on the floor for how much time their apps (this and TPE) can save me hours of hunting and hoping to find the right location for more than just photography. Useful even if you just want to find a picturesque viewpoint to have lunch while on a road trip.
Not compatible with iPhone
I purchased this as part of the Photo Planning Apps bundle, and only discovered after purchase that it does not work on my iPhone.
If you purchase “The Photographer’s Transit” by itself, it states in the description that it only works with an iPad.
However, if you purchase it as part of the bundle, which is what I did, it states that it is compatible with iPhone and iPad.
I only own an iPhone - not an iPad - and therefore this app is useless to me.
I lost money because of the way this app is described in the Photo Planning Apps bundle.

The app is now compatible with iPhone as well as iPad (and has been since Dec 2015) - just wanted to confirm that now that we're able to respond to reviews.
Great Principle .... But!
Love the idea of picking a location and being able to view and "walk" around it. Unfortunately it works with Google Street View so it's fine if you are photographing from a road but when you locate the camera in the middle of a field, for example, there is no view available. Also zoom is limited to that on street view so my 140 (MFT) lens will only zoom to 70 in the app. Fix these aspects and this will be a very useful tool.
