Very good app

I love how I can learn more about space !

App is horrendous

This has nothing to do with the planetary Society itself. Says my computer is out of date they should be able to make it work with anything. I can’t keep updating my computer just for this app. I guess I will have to cancel everything I do with a society anymore and just go to their webpage.

App is horrendous

This has nothing to do with the planetary Society itself.

Can’t even log in

This is crazy! When I try to log into the app, it takes me the webpage that just consistently opens a new page and never logs me into anything.

Amazing space how sweet the soundlessness

One of the best apps ever honestly it’s like Facebook or LinkedIn for planetary science it’s chucked full of education, entertainment, and information. I never ever have to worry about being lied to on this app.

Clunky

Doesn’t remember login credentials. No option to use biometrics. No ability to hide online status. While the app is shiny, it lacks these basics.

Excellent App and an Even Better Organization

I have been using this app for quite a while and not only is it versatile in the myriad ways that it helps me stay informed and in touch with The Planetary Society, it is also very well organized and has worked without fail in all the ways I need it to work. In addition, the organization is an incredible one to be a member of. For anyone that has any interest in Space Exploration I highly recommend both this app and becoming a member of The Planetary Society.

Still just as bad

I love the Planetary Society and their app.

This app lets you connect with different types of people and stay in the know for all the fun space stuff. Happy I am a member🪐

Great to have place to learn and experience the universe

Badly broken.

The app continually logs me out after several days. The problem has existed since they started using this app six months or more ago. Both The Planetary Society and Mighty Networks have been working on this issue for months without success. Apparently it’s a known problem that affects a smallish percentage of people. Nevertheless, it’s a very poor experience and makes me want to delete the app and not interact with TPS. I would not recommend any organization use “Mighty Networks.”

All writing too small to read , no zoom function

Also BORING . I’ve been a contributor since 1990 and used to LOVE my planetary magazine and subscription. This app is terrible, and now I can’t even sign into it and there is NO help. Thanks for nothing !

Not allowed to log in

I am a paying member of the society but I can’t log in to the app, it keeps redirecting me from the app to my browser and back but never logging in

Best community ever. The app works well on iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS.

Proud member of the planetary society since 2022.

Great society to join!

The main reason you should be using this app is connect with Planetary Society members and keep up with events (meaning you're already a member). Another review complains about "no free tier", but you can get plenty of free info by subscribing to their newsletters through the website. The Planetary Society itself is trying to raise money for space missions so OBVIOUSLY there have to be paid tiers to support that, and you can join for as little as 4$/month or $50 for a year (I'm not rich and that's totally reasonable). I'll move on to the app now!
There is a great foundation here with room for improvement once there's a larger community. You can easily follow people and see updates, comment/cheer like most social networks, and watch live events as well as getting notified about them. The only thing lacking right now are members, but this app is still pretty new.
I highly recommend heading to planetary.org to sign up, there are cool perks and it's great to know you're contributing to new science and research. Can't wait to see where this app goes in the future!

Great organization, no app transparency or privacy info

I'm a longtime member of The Planetary Society, so I was really looking forward to this new Community app. I was going to download it, but I'm a concerned by the amount of personally identifiable information the app collects, and I'm very concerned that the Mighty Software, Inc. privacy page will not load so we can see what information they actually collect. Thanks but no thanks, I'll access the community through the website, where I have privacy protections.
