Terrible since last update
Just stops playing on new iPad and iPhone for no reason and won’t restart. Have to close app and restart to continue playing. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but didn’t fix it. Sometimes on iPhone it just continues to crash and have to reboot iPhone to use again. Bring back the old app until you fix this abomination..

Extra free content is great
Great app, gives longer interviews than on YouTube for free. Listen to all the time in the car now.

No improvement
I have not listened to Platform for quite a while, got totally fed up with guests being cut off and talked over, and hosts more interested in spouting their own views than eliciting the guests information. But I thought I would give them another try and guess what? In the first couple of interviews I heard guests being cut off and talked over, and hosts more interested in spouting their own views than eliciting the guests information. Deleted the app. Again.

After the update 3 days ago it now just crashes when I’m trying to access on my iPod. Shame really I was quite enjoying it.

As someone who has been sick of the bias in NZ media recently, I thought The Platform would be a refreshing new outlook on the News. Immediately, I was swamped with terms such as “woke”, “the left”, and “radical agenda”.
The headlining article was “Deathly Silence by our leaders shows NZ’s level of wokeness: Tyranny and anarchy rules when free speech dies”. This article showed a very aggressive outlook on the government’s “radical policies” and how the mainstream media is controlled by the left-leaning government’s PIJF. Pretty ironic considering their articles are fodder for conservatives, but for $13 a month you can listen to more of what you want to hear! They use the name “The Platform” as an obnoxious take on self righteousness when in fact it’s just another form of right wing news. Unbiased media requires leveraging both sides of the story, something they clearly don’t do. Sure, the mainstream media censors certain information but I’d rather that then the blatant confirmation bias The Platform shows. My advice, listen to this with a grain of salt

Sean plunkett has got to the most arrogant person I have ever listened to has totally put me off The platform. Enjoyed most of the rest of the hosts.

Finally, well written and sensible media articles performing the duty of media as they should be! App could be slightly more intuitive but can deal with minor issues like this in order to receive good journalism

Absolutely love having the Platform to hear the real news grit! I realise it’s early days but the app needs to be much more user friendly. I listen to you while I walk the dog but frequently the regular radio stations work but not the Platform..! Will be top notch when you get it to play thru Alexa.!

Great content. Mediocre app
The content is refreshing and high quality real journalism. The app is poorly designed by modern standards. They are likely starting with budget constraints but should make app development a big focus going forward.
App needs fixing - great content though
The Pod/Video page on the app doesn’t have a sort function, I have the same pod/video at the top for the last few weeks, instead of being able to sort by latest so the latest is at the top, or by presenter, etc.

Wonderful - actual journalism again!
Great to finally have a media platform that returns to asking actual questions which are relevant rather than the usual pandering of the mainstream media to the hand which feeds them.
Where is the accessibility?
Developers need to sort out the accessibility of this app. At the moment blind people who use VoiceOver on iOS can't use the app. Apple even provides its own tools so you can test accessibility for God sake. It's 2022, sort it out. Stop being lazy developers.
Fix please
App easy to use, but will only play if you are in the app. So always times out when phone closes. Assume it’s an easy fix?
Stream Cuts out when iPhone screen goes to sleep or you open another app.
App started out working great. Then after the latest update was applied, if the phone screen goes to sleep or you open another app, you lose the stream.
