Online Paper Becoming A Pain

Since forcing readers to access the paper two days a week, P&C now seems to be running out of bandwidth. We keep getting “Two Many Requests” error messages. If the point of the online edition was to save money, it’s unfortunately to the detriment of the users. I, for one, am fed up with this paper.

Periodically stops working and the reset process is maddening

Great newspaper🩷

After being forced to switch to the new app, I was trying to be open-minded about the new app. It was slower and seemed less user friendly but I was trying to give it a chance. This morning, the new version doesn’t have the real estate section on it at all. So, I went to the old version for that information. What will I do next week when the old version is gone??

Tiny Pass on sign in

The App always wants to send an email to log in and when you click on the link in the email it takes you right back to the page you started at. Severe glitch . I’ve tried it about 20 times . Guess I’ll have to call someone cause I have already paid !!

App allowed virus pop up which tries to scare users that a virus has invaded. If the user hits the OK button a virus would be installed.

The Best

The P&C is a very good newspaper that remains relevant and essential. In particular, its investigative focus is outstanding, thoughtful, and timely. The paper’s editorial leadership demonstrates the crucial role of local news services in a time of social media that distorts the truth, maligns decency, and undermines community values. I do not always agree with its editorial positions, but I respect the rigorous effort to bring informed opinion to the public square.

Website is a nightmare

Always forgets your log in. Cancelation is impossible.
So any ads the function is impaired. No way to opt out of data mining. And I pay for this? The news coverage is good however.

Good source

The Post & Courier helps me keep tabs on what is happening in the greater Charleston community and within our wonderful state of South Carolina. The journalists at the paper cover a wide scope of topics, delivering news, hometown tidbits, profiles of local leaders and of course in-depth analysis of chronic concerns such as flooding. Sometimes they are too “woke”, grandstanding a bit about extreme ideology, but I still enjoy reading the paper and value what it delivers.

Outstanding local journalism

The Post and Courier delivers daily local journalism at the highest level - far exceeding that found on most larger cities! And, this in a time when even the larger cities are scaling back.

Fix log in function

Log in function is annoying. App never remembers that I’m a member.

Frustrations

Very frustrating to read with a tablet such as an iPad. Pages do not scroll properly and it is often difficult to enlarge an article for reading. I subscribe to another newspaper and have no problem reading it online. Could the PC be using inferior software?

Well, I live in the PD. I get the Post and Courier, which keeps me thoroughly informed of things going on in the low country and the Midlands highly recommend the publication and I still get it and print. Thank you for still putting out a quality product.

Simply the worse
costumer experience ever. Very disappointing. No wonder they have to ask for donations.

Mixed bag

I am a long time supporter of P and C. This app has improved over the years but the one bit that is soooo annoying is that I cannot read articles from the P and C tha are hyperlinked. The app sends me to a rendering of a browser, and that requires me to log in again. Let me see all the P and C content that I pay for!

Horrible customer service

I continuously have problems with my subscription and there is no one at the P&C you can call to speak with, in an effort to deal with things.

Can’t login

I get the email for the epaper I subscribe to. Read most of an article I am presented with. Get interrupted saying I have to subscribe or login. Go to login. See the window for the login page, and it says can’t find server. And I’m stuck. This should work. Not sure why I subscribe when I can’t get to articles sent to me.
