Great app!
I really like this app. Itβs well designed and easy to access individual articles for a quick read or catch up with Psychology news, or go a bit more in depth for a proper read up on the Psychologist magazine. Really well done!
The space to ponder and wonder psychologically
My writing may be poetic, an aspect recently acquired as I am a lover of science & psychology. I came to appreciate the art though, to find a psychological space for the art. I know the art may come in usefully in the therapy room. If I am referring to the Psychologist as a space to ponder and wonder, I am referring to the opportunity provided to present information on various aspects of the psychological profession. All with the aim to bring together the knowledge and understanding we create in the ways we shape the very nature of our practice. I would love to write an article for the Psychologist in the future. Until then, I will read enthusiastically to grasp the knowledge it has to offer.
The Psychologist is a wonderful resource at all stages of professional development. I am honoured to have a place at its table - again, metaphorically speaking. All love to the psychologist. π

I love the Psychologist, and I also love having everything in one place and being able to read on my iPad. So I was very happy when I discovered this app. It works well and I've had no issue with it. I only wish there was a way to unsubscribe from my paper copies, as they're just a waste of paper for me!

Magazine fine, app rubbish
The app loads very slowly, and the magazine layout in the app, for me, is poor. The magazine itself is fine, I prefer the hardcopy.
Does what it says......
.... on the tin, adding value to membership and giving extra if you can take so much with you, any/everywhere from student, to professional. I use it all the time and recommend it all the time.

Surprisingly informative and well presented (& I'm a member); so much more than what used to be published. Thank you for the work you editors put in.

Wide range of research that you can read and very up to date. Love this app very easy to use!
Better than paper issues, for me
This will be a welcome addition to any psychologist who uses a iPad for study or for work. I have found that I read the psychologist more when using this app than I do the paper issues. Also works well on the iPhone but I prefer it on the iPad. Great to see BPS disseminating their work across new platforms.
Suggestions for improvement:
-Remember the membership-login details so that you don't have to enter them every time you want to download content
-Back date to include 2014 and before

Well This Finally 'App'ened...
As an Assistant Psychologist with an interest in technology/social media as well as psychology, the ability to access articles on my smartphone is extremely useful. The Psychologist app has definitely improved access to their content. The BPS has acknowledged that they are hoping to update and add to the app in the future, which is great. Keep up the good work.

* Modern/clean interface
* Access to monthly issues and occasional specials (currently all open access while new editions will be freely accessible only for BPS members as a benefit of membership)
* Issues can be downloaded for offline viewing
* Thumbnail view (easier way to scroll quickly through issues)
* Scrapbook feature (save articles to access later)
* Archive feature (delete downloaded articles which can then be re-downloaded at a later date as they are quite large file sizes, typically 2-8 MB - please note: this feature can be found in the thumbnail view!)
* Search feature (which is actually quite useful)
* Share feature (share links to issues/articles with others by text, email, social media, etc.)

An Excellent App
Clean, simple, functional: a fantastic app, completely fit for purpose. It's a great resource, and much more practical than carrying print issues around with you! 5 out of 5.

Excellent app, however the font needs changing
The app is simple and intuitive to use. However the font needs changing urgently, it's far too ugly and makes the reading bit too difficult.
