I really like the way this app is designed, with books arranged by age. A good selection of texts and engaging activities. The ability to change the background colour is a nice touch and I imagine some children with dyslexia would find that beneficial.

My 9yo daughter loves creative writing and finds this app really inspiring. She really enjoys all the little challenges. I really recommend it!

Reading Realm is really good because you don’t just get given a piece of text from a story and read it. You also get given comprehension questions to answer. As well as that, it helps guy with your grammar because it takes out all the punctuation and you have to put it back in correctly. Reading Realm helps you with your spellings and teaches you to use the right tense. I use it when I miss class because I get sick. It’s fun to still work on my English and I share what I have done with my teacher.

Fantastic
This is a superb app for using with a wide age range. Children can use it independently or with an adult. It covers a wide range of skills related to reading and writing. Cannot recommend it enough.
Amazing App
This app is absolutely brilliantly. I’ve introduced it to the staff, children and their parents at my school and they love it. It is so Easy to use, covers so many of the reading and comprehension skills needed and in an interactive way. A great selection of texts for all ages and abilities too!! A great addition to the classroom or to support reading at home.

I think this App is perfect to get children to read more, and to engage in literature by taking quizzes and playing games.
The App is well set out, with a fantastic array of titles from many different genres, to choose from. The App is easy to use which is ideal when children are using it.
It is a massive five stars from me, and I will look forward to it being used a lot of the coming months!

Fantastic!
This app is absolutely brilliant. It’s packed full of engaging and exciting texts for children of all ages and encourages them to discuss and really ‘pick apart’ the content to show their understanding. The ‘Discussion Realm’ in particular is a fantastic section which can be used to enhance guided reading, with the different strands of questioning clearly labelled to provide ready-made discussions around the extract in a child-friendly way. The thought that has gone into the presentation is fab, especially the function to allow different background colours to support children who might otherwise need to use a coloured overlay. Overall, an awesome resource!

Bugs
Looks good but when I have played on it you cannot select all of the answers in the spelling. The grammar section says that something is wrong when it isn’t and no help to identify what it thinks is wrong. Disappointing

Great for use at home with children. Really engaging & fun. Such a huge collection of titles to choose from it really does broaden your child’s literary experiences. Love the games too.
Terrific resource!
What a great app which covers the content domains of the NC really well but, more importantly, gets children fully engaging with the text. A great, up-to-date range of texts too. Fabulous to see John Agard on the poetry shelves!

I love this app. This is displayed out in a child friendly way. Very colourful and pleasing to the eye. Text is easy to read and I just love the questions and additional support attached to some parts of the text. Where you can discuss in detail, thoughts and ideas. There’s lots to do to help support the child and teacher. Will definitely be using this app a lot and what good value too. Bargain!!
