About

Walk into the Colosseum before the crowds, cross the Rialto as the market opens, then find the small town you could actually live in. The Shortlist Atlas is a travel planner for 14 countries with an independent research guide to 116 towns built into it. PLAN A TRIP AROUND WHAT YOU LOVE - Explore a whole country: famous sights, museums, markets, viewpoints and local favorites, with hours, prices and official links. - 18 self-guided city visits, from Ancient Rome and the Vatican to Paris, London, Lisbon, Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Mexico City, Sydney and Toronto. Every stop comes with notes, directions and saved progress. - Rate what you love, choose your pace and get a day-by-day itinerary with walking times and booking reminders. - Today keeps you moving: your next stop, when to leave, a Running Late button and a Lock Screen countdown. - Directions from your hotel, your location or the last stop, handed to Apple Maps or Google Maps. - Save places as you go and add them to a trip day when you're ready. FIND THE TOWN WORTH STAYING IN Our editors screened hundreds of towns in France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Thailand, and ranked the 116 that hold up. Each one has low natural hazard, real access to airports and rail, honest property prices and a life that still works in winter. - Every town shows its hazard grade, access times, population, property price range and the case for and against it. - Every pick is dated and sourced. Nobody pays to be listed. - Scouting Trips: plan two to four towns in one trip and score them as you visit. - Stay Counter: track your Schengen 90/180 days and see how long you can stay. - Atlas Watch: dated updates when rules, fees, closures or prices change for the towns you follow. ALSO INSIDE - Traveling Together: send a link, both rate the cards, and the plan counts you equally. - Home Screen widgets, and offline use for your plans and the Atlas. MEMBERSHIP Exploring places, browsing the Atlas and the first day of a plan are free. Trip Pass ($14.99, 30 days, never renews) unlocks every day of your plan and Today.
