slow to load
I love the Spokesman Review, but the app could use some work. It is slow to load, sometimes there are missing pages, and whenYou close your device to do something else and then go back to it starts over again instead of going to the page you were on. I also wish that the puzzles that are actually printed in the paper could be done on the app. They do have some puzzles available, but they’re not the same ones.

OK
The only reason I read the email edition is because the delivery person sleeps in and doesn’t deliver until 7:30 to 8:30. Way too late and they won’t do anything about the problem.
Did they tell they were changing?
I was not aware that the old app was going away. I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t download the 1/10 & 1/11 editions. Finally poked around enough for the light to go on. We’re we informed of the change? I don’t recall it.
Anyway, I thought the old app was awful. This one is acceptable. At least so far.

Good regional paper
I enjoy my daily read of the Spokesman, although at times it seems a bit skewed in one direction on the political spectrum.
Works OK, sometimes
The app seems to be a bit quirky, sometimes working OK, other times randomly requiring me to log in, often not loading an article just giving me an error message, it will also jump back to the first page completely on its own.
Essential Information
To have the privilege of getting up every morning and having a balanced, well rounded newspaper to read and enjoy at my own pace is one of the most wonderful and fulfilling parts of living in Spokane.
From national and world news to local sports, the Spokesman does, in my opinion, a first rate job of balancing information with entertainment and offering opinions on both sides of issues.

Strong local paper
It is great to have a good local paper. I couldn’t ask for a much better general source of local news.
Great to read when not in Spokane
We are snowbirds and spend winter in Arizona. We love that we don’t have to miss our paper while we are gone. Our routine is the Spokesman with our coffee so the digital version is perfect for us. Do not like the very liberal lean of the newspaper.
BEST Newspaper App EVER!
Even the nationals can’t match the ease and flexibility that comes with navigating this robust multi-format news app that also provides the most in-depth, comprehensive coverage in the Inland Northwest.
No AI Worries!
I love everything about this app and the SR. I spend a few minutes minimum each day—skimming the headlines or reading whole articles—and feel in-the-know, without ever having to doubt what I’m seeing. There is journalistic integrity, in-depth analysis, and quick lists. I never ever miss reading the advice column and the comics. We are so lucky to have the SR, and I read it quickly and easily on the app, even when on vacation or on a break at work. Well done!

Why
Why do I have to reenter my login. Every couple of weeks
My favorite local newspaper
I enjoy reading the e-edition on my phone every morning. This is the quickest way to get my local news with the peace of mind of knowing it’s real news and not fake AI articles like I see on social media.
Constantly cannot open edition
I’m unable to open my e.edition. I follow all of the instructions that they give me to clear my cash and cookies and still can’t open it. I’m getting tired of this happening so often! I’m thinking of canceling my edition and taking the regular newspaper.
Great paper, glitchy app
The paper is great but the app is so glitchy. I can’t even get into my account to renew a subscription.
Terrible
Horrible app that never remembers the password
Understandable
This is the most unreliable app you could imagine. It seldom functions properly, from being unable to select articles to throwing you out completely. Much like the paper has become, this app is a disgrace.
GET RID OF GOOGLE ADS!!
It is SO FRUSTRATING to pay for a subscription and be subjected to blinking google ads. I appreciate the static ads that are part of the paper, but the google ads in the navigation area have turned my morning read into a frustrating experience. It is annoying enough that I may cancel my subscription.

Difficult to access digital side.
The app is difficult... full of bugs.
How low can you go?
Texas is not the only thing with a Lone Star. The Spokesman Review has poor web design, I find it hard to log on to my account and a frustrating process to get the paper to access.
Hey, this is 2026, make it more seamless like the Wall Street Journal or New York Times. I kept being directed to my account information instead of the newspaper itself today. And getting access to the Games and Puzzles are near impossible to find. Please fix!
