Be very careful

To start this is just the USA Today with a somewhat local slant. St Augustine does not have a local paper anymore. Furthermore is you do subscribe the fee charged to me was $99.00 for a year. Digital only. I immediately called to cancel and get a refund. No they won’t do that. They keep their STOLEN money. So your warned!

Less biased would be good

I enjoy seeing the news stories each morning. However, I find it distressing that often time a non-editorial news articles are slanted towards a woke point of view. Traditionally news reporters were tasked with reporting the news in a direct non - biased fashion so that the reader could form their own opinion about what to believe. That doesn't appear to be the case any longer which lessens the value of the news.

Best option for SA

Best option for local news. No where near what it was a few years ago. So sad about newspapers in general.

Love the coverage!

I own in St Augustine but live in Atlanta. I depend on the SA to keep me up to date and informed on all state and local news. It never disappoints, thank you for the timely news and coverage.

Well Done!

This app makes my life easier!

Reliable news, reliable app

Get local, state and national news with the ability to share articles with this app. Support main stream media that gives the people the information they need to know.

Jack C

Covers local news best.

Hardly Works

The e edition never loads. I already cancelled my subscription after one day. Of course you don’t get a refund so I just got ripped off. Live and learn…..

Prefer Paper News

I find the new app cumbersome. The old app would easily download my Saturday paper, not anymore. I am old fashioned. I like holding my newspaper in my hands. I don’t like the idea of having to figure out how to print the crossword puzzles from my iPad. I still read paperback books as well as hardcover books. I hate online reading.

Focus on St Augustine

I accepted the $1 for 6 month offer in an effort to understand what is happening in STA. What is being built where and when, local politics, events, etc. All I have seen is local sports and info I read in the Jax Times Union or elsewhere. Where can I get real STA news? because I’m not seeing it here???

Cannot be read….

Totally unusable and a complete mess……..after 30+ years with the record I think I’m done

No reporters, no editor, no news

A few years ago this paper was sold and now there are no reporters and no editor. You’re better off going to the internet or one of the free papers at local businesses . There is no coverage of any St Augustine news.

The Paper

Enjoyable read when the paper edition is not available

Communist Propaganda

The app pushes out notifications to their left leaning attack articles with no sense of fairness or balance. This USA Today phony communist rag wants to keep Saint Augustine in the dark about the realities facing our residents and visitors and actively seeks to subvert American sovereignty. Needless to say, I deleted the app. Truly disgusting.

Yawn

One new story in the Sunday edition. The is old news. Is there a place to read “ TODAYS” news that rivals getting the paper? This is truly disappointing.

A waste

I’m not sure how this paper still circulates. You are lucky to get a new news story every 3 days. There are stories that are over a year old still listed on the main page. Does anyone even work there? This paper is not worth the monthly subscription.

The Récord Review

It’s somewhat improved from the rabid right wing trumpet it once was but fact remains: the Op-Ed staff still favors the Trumptard hit parade putting parent choice above public good in regard to masks and vaccine, anti-abortion Evangelical spew over a woman’s right to choose and continues to herald big developers clear cutting everything in sight to build what’s amounting to facsimile of Palm Beach, making St Johns County a de facto extension of JAX and Duval County.
Frankly, the only worthwhile column day in/out is Sutton’s Fish Report on Thursday.
Glad I have a digital sub to this rag, hate to think of the trees lost to print the rest.

My other hometown paper

I enjoy keeping up with the happenings in St. Augustine. I consider it my second home and The Record keeps me in touch year round. Pleasure to see on my phone.
