This app needs work

Consistently have issues with this app. Today I can't login at all on either my iPhone or iPad. Time to cancel my subscription I guess.

Pure garbage

Great place to read yesterday’s news tomorrow

Could use some improvements

The latest update does not respond well to touch in the e edition, to move the page up, you usually have to start down first, it often does not respond to pinches or spreads to shrink or enlarge, the app does not remember what page you were on when you restart, if you enlarge the page it often gets fuzzy

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

The worst.

Used to Work

Takes forever to load, now doesn’t even open

Horrible customer service!

I signed up for one year of the e-edition through the App Store. Not only was I not able to access the paper online, but customer service on line and via phone told me they had no record of such a transaction (I have a receipt) and were unwilling to help me. Awful company since they’ve been bought out…

Print view won’t open in Safari browser. Stopped working a few days ago.

No reason for the change!

I have been reading myrtle beach online for years. When it was provided thru digital olive it was perfect. Ever since you switched to McClatchy, it has been awful. Print is most times too blurry to read. I have tried the apps and logging in directly online and there is no change! Thank you so much for dumbing down!

Horrible

A high school run newspaper website could outshine this

Update is terrible

I have enjoyed the Sun News on my iPad for at least two years. With the new format for the print edition, the ads on the left are more intrusive. There is no full screen toggle in the iOS edition. When you expand the page, the full article is cut off. You have ruined what used to be an enjoyable experience: reading the print edition online. I contacted customer support, and all they could tell me was to be patient while they work out the bugs. In the meantime I’m paying for an app I can’t use. I am cancelling my subscription and asking for a refund, since I just renewed.

Waste of money

The previous Myrtle Beach Online version of the Sun News was a pain in the arse to use, and cost $6.99 per month. The updated and “ improved” version is now $9.99 per month and is basically unreadable. On an iPad mini it is necessary to hold the iPad in the long direction in order to be able to see the page. This only allows you to scan the headline, you really can’t read the print, so you have to spread out the article to be able to read, but this causes the rest of the page to disappear. When you pinch back down in size several unintended things may happen. You may go back to the size you wanted, you may cause the next or previous page to pop up, or you may end up at the login page again. Very difficult to navigate and not at all user friendly.
Also, since the new version is hosted by Google you pay Google not The Sun News by credit card auto pay, no choice. You want the e-edition, that’s your only choice. Again, I was paying $6.99, changed to Google, now it’s $9.99.
Also, since Google hosts the e-edition you get 1/2 a page of pop up ads on every page. EVERY-FREAKING page. This basically makes the page unreadable. Pop up ads compete with content for page space! For $9.99 per month! You can’t read an article without increasing the font size by 200% so it only shows 1 -1 1/2 columns and when you try to scroll at that magnification you always get an unintended result such as page change, the home page, or leaving the app altogether. No wonder the newspaper business is failing..this is the WORST app I have ever encountered.

One Criticism

Easy to maneuver from section to section. I enjoy more than I ever did the paper version. Only criticism is Emailing an article. It never reaches whoever I send to. Posting to Facebook works great!

Klutter Kleaner LLC Myrtle Beach

This service is BY FAR the best cleaning service around.
It would be nice if all service companies operated with same integrity as Kutter Kleaner LLC Myrtle Beach

Makes you pay to read stories

I am VERY disappointed with this app. I have for years been able to view stories on this app...now it won’t show anything but the title without making me subscribe. Unless this changes I will be deleting the app...there are other ways I can see my local news and weather information.

Dumb

Now you have to pay to see the news.....

Love this Newspaper

I really enjoy this newspaper app when I leave my home in SC to work out of state.

Sun news review

I love the local high school sports updates.

Print Edition Found!

What happened to the replica Print Edition? I finally found it buried under "Obits and More." Really weird spot to bury it. Oh wait, buried under Obits; now I get it!

Crashes

This app crashes every time I try to read the comics. It is a hard failure. Please fix soon.
